The team from the Thurrock branch of Manorcourt Homecare took part in the 'Memory Walk' for Alzheimer's Society on 3rd September to raise money for the charity.
The team took part in the big walk in London, and as a result, the group has so far raised over £1,000. Charity donations are still being collected offline, and are being encouraged online.
Angeline Fisher, manager of Manorcourt Homecare's Thurrock office said: "We had a fantastic day taking part in the Memory Walk. We even got to meet and have our picture taken with Linda Robson, actress from the well-known sitcom Birds of a Feather, as you'll see in one of our pictures! Importantly, the team has so far raised over £1000 for this particular fundraiser, with more donations coming in. We are very grateful to everyone who has supported us this year."
Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that’s the equivalent of one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there.
Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it’s the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
