Jan Parslow-Williams, who has recently retired from Manorcourt Homecare's Brooke branch following over 25 years in the care profession, has been shortlisted for the Stars of Norfolk & Waveney Awards 2016.
Nominated for the Carer of the Year, Jan is one of three finalists to be announced for the forthcoming awards.
The awards are hosted by Archant, and are a celebration of the real heroes of the Norfolk & Waveney community.
Jan was nominated by the team from the Brooke branch in recognition of her dedication and love for caring for people.
Paul Pawsey, manager of the Brooke branch, said: "Jan gives her everything and more; always treating and caring for people with kindness, dignity, respect and always with a smile. She is the kind of person you would want to look after your loved ones. She is dedicated not only to those she cares for but also her sons and Grandchildren.
Since Jan retired, she has left a large gap in their lives personally and professionally. She has faced hardship and loss herself but it never effected her dedication to care for others. She is one of a kind; funny, loving, generous, compassionate, selfless, giving, and passionate about those around her. We are so pleased that she has been shortlisted for the Stars awards!"
A gala presentation is taking place to announce the winners in December.
