Local care provider nominated for three awards!

04-Nov-16

Clarriots Care have received multiple award nominations in the Great East of England care awards! Celebrated annually, with 23 award categories, the awards honour carers who have gone the extra mile in their work. The winners will be revealed on 29 November at a prestigious awards dinner in Cambridge.

Diane Humphries has been nominated for the ‘Dignity in Care’ award. With seven years' experience, Diane is thoroughly dedicated to her job and was “overwhelmed to hear I had been nominated to receive an award for something I just do ordinarily as part of my day to day work.”

Nominated for the ‘Home Carer’ award is Janet Burnett, an eight year veteran of the care sector. Janet, like Diane, was gobsmacked when she learnt she was nominated for an award. She said: “It came as a huge surprise because to me I hadn’t done anything out of the ordinary, I’d just cared as I always do.”

Janet started out caring for her gran and her late husband who struggled with diabetes and heart conditions. A friend of hers later suggested she become a care worker and Janet has never looked back – she says it makes her happy to see others that she cares for happy.

Clarriots Care is also delighted to say that their very own Lincolnshire North care coordinator team, made up of Kirsty Barnes, Amy Pickering, Georgia Biggin, Lucy Hunter, Heather Haywood and Nicole Grantham, has been nominated for the ‘Care Team’ award! The girls in the office do an outstanding job, helping carers to do their job effectively. Collectively they have over 25 years experience between them all working in care!

Registered Manager Kirsty described how special it was to work in the care sector: “Whether it’s a service user that we can support to live at home and re-gain their independence or an employee that we can help to be the very best at their job and offer numerous opportunities to. Seeing results makes everything worthwhile.”

Everyone at Clarriots is very proud of the dedicated team of care staff. They make everything they do possible and help their clients to truly improve their quality of life. They wish all nominees good luck in the awards!
