Local home care company, Home Instead Senior Care invites local people to go along for a cuppa and a slice of cake at their ‘Time for a Cuppa’ event to raise money for Dementia UK.
The event is to be held at The Blandford Corn Exchange on Friday 3 March between 9am and 1pm.
There will be a local ukulele band playing from 12pm and there will be a quiz and a raffle as well as cakes and refreshments.
Home Instead Senior Care specialises in providing home care and companionship for older people in East Dorset, Blandford, and the surrounding areas.
Home Instead owner Caroline Flay said: “Every day we care for people living with dementia and this is a charity close to our hearts. It is a wonderful opportunity to not only have a great get together but also to help raise much needed funds for Dementia UK.” Dementia UK provides specialist one-to-one support and expert advice for people living with dementia through their world-class Admiral Nurses. The nurses work hand in hand with families, helping them cope with the fear, uncertainty and day to day challenges for people living with dementia.
