Promedica24 is celebrating after receiving an overall ‘good’ rating following their recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission.
Promedica24’s Watford office was judged to be safe, effective, caring and responsive, with carers seen to demonstrate a good understanding of how to ensure that residents received a high level of care and were treated with dignity and respect.
Since the last inspection in October 2016, the Care Quality Commission found that the service had made all of the improvements necessary to achieve a ‘good’ rating, with care plans being reviewed and updated to make sure individuals received safe, effective and responsive care, in line with their assessed needs.
As part of the process, inspectors questioned clients and their families on the quality of care received and praised the caring relationships that staff had developed with customers as a result.
One client stated that: “The carer I have has been excellent. They are kind, caring and well trained.”
A relative of one client, commented: “The care provided is excellent, absolutely couldn’t be better. They are very attentive and always happy and positive.”
The report also noted that staff have been employed to provide care and support to people only once they have undergone a robust recruitment process. Staff members understood the importance of maintaining people’s independence and ensured that clients were involved in the planning and delivery of the care provided.
