Hounslow-based Avant Healthcare Services has recently recognised their staff’s hard work and dedication, with a presentation of their ‘Carer of the Quarter’ awards at their Salisbury Road offices.
Working closely with specialist charities and organisations, Avant offers care and support services across Hillingdon, Uxbridge and Ealing, enabling people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
The recent awards, voted on by customers and internal team members, recognised the professionalism and dedication of the care and support staff.
HR and training manager Sophie Tozzi said,
‘We value the dedication and commitment of all of our staff but just occasionally it is right to recognise members of the team for their great development and continued success in their job.’
The award winners were:
• Jurgita Urbonite (Hounslow) • Yesha Maru (Feltham) • Lucy Abalo (Brentford, Isleworth and Chiswick) • Cody Corry (Hillingdon) • Maria Do Sol Goncalves (Ealing) • Blaise D'Souza (Southall)
Avant Healthcare Services, which was founded in 2012, offers support to people suffering from a wide range of conditions including, dementia, mental health problems, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, Parkinson’s disease, brain or spinal injuries, multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease. They also provide care after a stroke, palliative care and specialist support for children and their families.
Founder Sally Graham grew up in a care home run by her father and then ran a care and home support business with him for 17 years, until his death in 2010. Following the sale of the company, Sally founded Avant, which now employs over 200 care and 15 administrative staff, at their head office based in Hounslow.
‘We are delighted to recognise the ‘best practice’ demonstrated here by these members of our staff; the awards are voted on by our customers and internal staff, so the winners should be very proud of themselves and their achievements.’
