Here follows a press release from the CQC following Home Counties Carers 'outstanding' inspection report.
Home Counties Carers in Leatherhead, Surrey has been rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission following an inspection in July 2017.
Inspectors rated the service Outstanding in the areas of effective, caring and well-led, with Good ratings for being safe and responsive to people’s needs. The overall rating was Outstanding.
Home Counties Carers is a domiciliary care agency which provides live-in support such as companionship and personal care to people within their own homes. There were 41 people using the service at the time of the inspection.
Deborah Ivanova, Deputy Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care, said;
“Home Counties Carers provides a service where staff have clearly demonstrated their commitment to providing high quality person-centred care."
“People told us how staff often went above and beyond when undertaking care duties to ensure that their support needs were met and worked hard to increase their confidence to reduce isolation and allow them to live more independently."
“Inspectors found that people’s nutritional needs were taken into account by staff who were highly trained in how to produce nutritious and appetising food to ensure people living with dementia ate well and reduced the possibility of malnutrition."
“It is clear from the quality of care provided to those using this service that the staff and management are committed to person-centred care and are constantly exceeding the expectations of the people that use the service. I would like to congratulate them on their work in this area and their achievement in receiving an Outstanding rating overall.”
