“Mum’s forgetting more than usual… how do I know if it’s something more serious?”
It’s a question many adult children ask, often unsure where forgetfulness ends and dementia might begin. The uncertainty can feel overwhelming — but early understanding can make all the difference. That’s why we recently delivered a “Spot the Signs of Dementia” workshop at Carpenders Park Care Home, alongside Dr Suhail Hussain GP and Sarah Scotland - Nutritionist.
Together, we shared practical ways families and care professionals can recognise early signs of dementia — and how medical insight, nutrition, and informed care can support wellbeing at every stage.
From questions about memory loss to tips on hydration and balanced diets, the session gave attendees confidence to take the next steps with empathy and clarity.
A huge thank you to the team at Carpenders Park for hosting us and for their ongoing commitment to quality dementia care.
If you're noticing changes in a loved one and don’t know where to start, we’re here to help — with no pressure, just practical advice and support.
