When families first start searching for care for an elderly loved one, many are presented with a long list of companies. With so many options, it can be difficult to know which provider is right for you. At Vitale Care, we believe being open and transparent from day one is the best way to help people make confident choices. That is why we have collected some of the most frequent questions families ask us, along with our answers. Read on to discover more:

Which areas do you cover?

Our Care Professionals visit clients across West Sussex, stretching from the Manhood Peninsula up to the north of the South Downs. As a growing care provider, our reach is expanding. If your village or town is not listed on our website, please get in touch with us, as we may still be able to help.

What types of support do you provide?

We offer a wide variety of services, from hourly home visits and overnight care to full-time live-in care. Support can include personal care such as help with bathing or dressing, companionship visits, preparing meals, and light household tasks.

What does home care cost?

We are upfront about pricing. We provide hourly care from £34 per hour on weekdays and £37 per hour on weekends. If you need live-in care, we tailor a plan for you. Our live-in care starts from £180.25 per day. We charge our clients a below-average fee (compared to our competitors) and still pay our Care Professionals an above-average wage.

Our approach is designed to be sustainable, focusing on quality local care rather than chasing profits.

Can you help with specialist needs?

Yes. Our Care Professionals are trained to support a wide range of needs, including dementia, Parkinson’s, mobility issues, and palliative care.

How quickly can care begin?

Once an assessment has been completed and a care plan agreed, we can often begin within a few days. In urgent cases, we do our best to start even sooner.

Will my loved one see the same carer?

We know how important continuity is. While we cannot always guarantee the same individual, we aim to provide a small, consistent team of familiar faces to build comfort and trust. How do you (or we) decide what care is needed?

We begin with a detailed assessment, listening carefully to the client and their family. This forms a personalised care plan, which we review regularly to adapt to changing needs.

Is home care always the right choice?

For many, remaining at home with support is ideal, offering independence and comfort while often being more affordable than residential care. However, in some situations, residential care may be the better option, and we will always give honest guidance.

How will I be kept updated?

We can include family and others (such as medical professionals) in a client’s “care circle” through our care management software. This allows everyone involved to stay informed, giving peace of mind and clear communication.

Why Families Choose Vitale Care

For us, home care is not just about delivering a service; it is about working alongside families to support independence, respect individual wishes, and adapt as circumstances change.
