She embodies the Home Instead ethos of not only providing care, but bringing joy, independence, and dignity into people’s lives.

In August 2025, Cherise brought her warmth and creativity from Wembley to the national stage, reaching the final of Homecare’s Got Talent — a nationwide competition celebrating the hidden talents of people working in social care.

After submitting a video audition, Cherise was invited to perform live at the London regional semi-finals, where her heartfelt singing shone brightly. Overcoming nerves, she impressed the celebrity judging panel (including members of Bucks Fizz) and was chosen as one of just five finalists for the London region. On 14th August, we travelled with Cherise to Birmingham, where she performed at the national final in front of a celebrity panel, competing for prizes including a festival performance and an all-inclusive holiday.

Impact For Cherise’s clients, seeing her recognised at a national level reinforced the pride and affection they already felt. Her passion on stage mirrored the dedication she shows in her caring role. For our team, Cherise’s journey boosted morale and created excitement across the service. She became a role model, inspiring colleagues to share their own talents and creativity with clients. For the wider community, Cherise’s story showcased the heart and humanity of social care, breaking down stereotypes and shining a positive light on the profession.
