In February 2022, Mercy Alli's life came to a sudden halt. What began as a normal day turned into a fight for survival when she suffered a devastating aneurysm. The odds were against her from the very beginning.
When her condition struck, the wait time for an ambulance was nearly four long hours—a delay that could have cost her life. Faced with a terrifying reality, her husband made a split-second decision: he carried her into the car and rushed her himself to The Grange University Hospital in Cwmbran. That decision, born out of urgency and love, may have been the very reason she survived.
Mercy was later transferred to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, where she underwent three major operations with a mere 50:50 chance of survival. For six weeks, she fought for her life in the Intensive Care Unit. Those weeks were not only a trial of her body but also of her spirit. Against all odds, Mercy survived.
But her story didn’t end with survival—it began anew.
During her recovery, Mercy reflected deeply on what had happened. Having experienced firsthand the fragility of health and the critical role of urgent, compassionate care, she realised she had been given a second chance for a reason. This experience lit a fire in her heart. She decided to dedicate her life to making sure that others—especially those who needed care at home—would never be left without the support and compassion they deserve.
After heartfelt discussions with her husband, the two made a bold and life-changing decision: to reshape the mission of Care Managers Ltd. What was once a healthcare job portal would now become a provider of domiciliary and supported living services, putting people and their care needs at the very centre.
For Mercy, this wasn’t just a business decision—it was personal. It was her calling.
Today, even though Care Managers Ltd is still small and growing, Mercy finds immense fulfilment in every step taken to help individuals live safely and independently in their own homes. Each client served is a reminder of her own journey—a testimony that life is precious, fragile, and worth fighting for.
Mercy’s story is not just about survival; it’s about purpose, compassion, and hope. And it’s the very heartbeat of Care Managers Ltd:
To provide care that is urgent, reliable, and compassionate.
To treat every client as a person, not a case.
To ensure no family ever feels alone in their time of crisis.
Care Managers Ltd is more than a care provider—it is the legacy of one woman’s survival and her unwavering commitment to give others the dignity, compassion, and care she once desperately needed.
