If you could bottle the perfect Care Manager, Chloe would be it”

“She gets involved in the minutiae of the job”

“She knows everything about our customers and staff and goes above and beyond to make sure they happy and content.”

Those were among the comments which led to judges choosing our very own Chloe Holmes as the ‘Leader of the Year’ in the 2nd Nottinghamshire Proud to Care Awards.

This is the second major achievement for Chloe in the space of a few months, having also recently received her registered manager status from the CQC.

Chloe, who became our Care Manager in 2024 and received her formal Registered Manager status in September 2025, was one of only 13 individual category winners. There were dozens of finalists and over 400 original nominations.

The awards recognise and celebrate people in a wide range of social care roles in care homes, day care services, home care, supported living and administration. These individuals make a real difference and change the lives of the people they support.

Chloe said: “I was totally shocked when my name was read out, but it was an incredible feeling knowing I had been recognised by my peers in the Nottinghamshire care industry.

“The award may have my name on it but I wouldn’t be able to achieve anything without the amazing support of the Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield owners Jo and Simon. They put their trust and faith in me by appointing me manager.

“I also am fortunate to have the support of our amazing head office team. Additionally, our fantastic carers go above and beyond each and every day to ensure our customers remain living as independently as possible in their own homes.”

Another member of our team, Beth Mumby, was also finalist, in the Best Newcomer category, at the awards at Colwick Hall, Nottingham.

Jo and Simon Ford, the owners of Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield, said: “We’re tremendously proud of Chloe and the rapid progress she has made since first joining us as Field Care Supervisor five years ago.

“From overseeing the care we provide to people in their own homes, through to setting up our community-based coffee club initiative to combat loneliness and social isolation. Chloe also ensures no customer who lives alone goes without a meal on Christmas day. She is involves herself in all aspects of our business and she is one of the main reasons for our successful growth over the last 18 months.

“She belies her age, leads from the front, and has instilled an ethic which has inspired the entire team.

“We’re also very proud of the other members of our team who were finalists. We owe much to our staff team in general.”
