The Long service award is highly regarded as we recognise delivering care year after year takes a special sort of person. CSWs who settle and work with their organisation to deliver high standards of care show dedication to their clients as well as maturity. Often, we think we will find something better round the corner however the grass is not always greener. This person has had her own personal battles and we had a few near resignations as a result. We have been impressed with how this person has pushed through showing that positive thinking and self-belief is powerful. I know its not always easy but huge respect for battling on when perhaps it felt tempting to give in.
Over 3 years later we have a long list of happy clients, not just in Gloucester….. who think the world of this person and appreciate all that she does. In addition, this person has supported many colleagues and new starters with shadowing and sharing her ever growing experience as an accomplished care worker.
