Type of Inspection – Baseline

This was a scheduled announced baseline inspection looking at the themes of Quality of Life, Quality of Staffing and Quality of Leadership and Management.

This inspection was carried out by one inspector. The methods used were:

? Visits to four people using the service and discussion with their relatives, where appropriate.
? A visit to the agency’s office
? Examination of documentation relating to four people using the service
? Examination of three staff files
? Examination of the staff training records
? Discussion with the registered manager and responsible individual.
? Examination of agency’s quality assurance information
? Examination of a sample of policies and procedures.
