Recipient: Home Instead (Maidenhead, Henley & Wallingford)

Date: Saturday 30 Apr 2016

As the UK’s No 1 private home care provider and No 1 home care franchisor, Home Instead's commitment to elevating and innovating elder care standards has underlined their business journey at every step over the last decade.

Home Instead Senior Care has received the UK’s highest accolade for business success - the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2016 in the field of innovation.

The award from Her Majesty The Queen recognises their brand’s contribution to society, which helps thousands of elderly people continue to live in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes, happily and healthily for as long as possible.
A total of 249 businesses were named this year. Home Instead’s award for Innovation has been made in recognition of their unique model of companionship-based home care.

They are proud to deliver Home Instead’s service locally across Maidenhead, Henley, Wallingford and the surrounding areas. Home Instead was launched in the UK in 2005 (and was brought to Maidenhead in 2012). Since then the brand has grown to a national network of 175 offices, caring for 8,000 clients, providing five million hours of care each year.

Home Instead are proud that the company has won many awards, as have many of their CAREGivers, in recognition of the quality of care they provide. It is their declared mission to change the face of ageing and this award is proof that they are well on their way to achieving this aim.

The recognition this award brings is fantastic for Home Instead but it is also a good news story for the home care sector as a whole, bringing greater awareness of a new kind of home care, fit for the 21st century.
