So happy we found this lovely local company to help mum we have needed to adjust her care a few times each one was sorted immediately with real peace of mind for myself.
The ladies who attend to mum are just perfect and she loves them. The office staff are kind and caring and really listen to you
and give the best advise.

The entire team at District Home Care (DHC) have been absolutely excellent from the first moment I left an online enquiry and received a helpful response within two hours, on a Sunday. Every step of the process from the initial assessment of my dad's care needs and the family context to the ongoing
care visits (4 per day) has been fulfilled with my dad's needs and those of my mum at the centre of everyone's attention. Every team member and carer has been cheerful, considerate, compassionate and punctual, and DHC has liaised with other agencies like the hospital and District Nursing team to make things as easy as possible for us to navigate a difficult period as my dad was discharged after a long hospital stay. As our needs have evolved, DHC has remained supportive and prepared to adapt at all times. In summary, we would very highly recommend DHC and are grateful for everything they have done to help us.

From the initial phone call, I felt that District Home Care really cared about my dad. Before the team started to visit, my dad was taken into hospital after a fall due to an infection. It was of immensely reassuring to have the team supporting me by liaising with the hospital, GP and District
Nurse and me.
Once back home, and the team began to visit, I was kept well informed with the system and with regular phone contact. This was particularly reassuring when Dad had a second fall and there was a long wait for the ambulance to arrive. On this occasion, carers were able to visit and report back to me (as I live too far away to visit myself). They were excellent at supporting both mum and dad during this stressful time.
On a few occasions, when I was visiting, I was able to see for myself how kind and professional the carers were when dealing with my dad and how they had built such a good relationship.I would highly recommend District Home Care.

From initial contact, setting up a care package within the budget I gave them, delivering the best care, adjusting care needs as issues arose and dealing with emergency situations, I cannot fault the team at District Home Care. They are clearly passionate about delivering the best to the care user
and supporting the family. I have such peace of mind knowing my cousin is in such safe hands. Also, the prices they quote are the prices they charge. There are no hidden extras. Thank you so very much District Home Care. You are the best!

We've been using District Homecare since the start of May 2025 for support with our mum three times a week, and we're incredibly happy with the service. The care has been consistently excellent, and one of the things we appreciate most is the continuity - the same familiar staff come each time,
which has been reassuring and built great trust with Mum.
Communication with the agency has been open and responsive; they're always easy to contact and keep us well-informed. It's clear they genuinely care, and their professionalism and kindness make a real difference. Highly recommend.

I needed care for my mum after she returned home from an extended stay in hospital following a fall. She has dementia and the District Home Care team were super helpful dealing with this and assessing her needs. When it came to the care given, the team were absolutely brilliant. I think I met them
all, and each was really kind, helpful, patient and understanding. From an admin perspective the regular updates and communication was perfect. Really happy with the overall service.

Arranging for my mum to return home after being in hospital for a month was a steep learning curve for me, and District Homecare could not have been more helpful with assessing needs and providing information when I first contacted them. I was very impressed by the arrangements made, the
communication, and the flexibility that was possible. The carers were all lovely, very smiley, kind, patient, and helpful.

I had to sort out care for my husband to avoid him going into a Care Home from hospital stay. The team from District Home Care were brilliant following my enquiry they contacted me immediately then came to see and the Hubble in hospital next day. So helpful and the care I and hubby have received is
absolutely great, they have provided full time care for the days I work and when I get home housework done such a relief they are grateful.

We are incredibly grateful to District Home Care for the outstanding care and support they provided for my mother following her hip replacement. Post-op recovery was difficult, but with the encouragement of the care staff, my mother regained her confidence and independence.
The care managers
ensured we had the right level of support and the necessary equipment before she was discharged from hospital. Prior to my mother coming home, they took the time to visit both our home and the hospital. They met with my mother and spoke to the ward staff, showing a genuine interest in her well-being. Their kindness, reassurance, and even their sense of humour made a world of difference seeing my mother laugh for the first time since her fall was a true turning point. Thanks to their dedication, my mother felt safe and positive about returning home, despite her initial nerves. I cannot thank District Home Care enough, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of quality care.

When my father's care needs increased suddenly, I was daunted by the thought of finding the right care for him, and overwhelmed with the options. I needn't have worried. The manager and her team quickly put my mind at rest, talking me through their service with care and transparency. They were quick
to arrange a face-to-face needs assessment and care was in place within a few days.
They have been on hand for advice the whole way through, with their honesty and sense-of humour, nothing is too much trouble. The care staff have all been friendly, diligent and quick to alert us to any issues. My father is delighted with the service, and my sister and I have peace of mind via the thorough app updates.
I'm so glad we found District Home Care. Knowing they are flexible and able to accommodate us as my father's needs increase is a weight off our shoulders. If you're looking for friendly and reliable care for yourself or your loved one then please don't hesitate to contact them.

I contacted District Home Care as they had excellent online reviews. From the initial phone call with the Manager, to the organising with the Care Coordinator and then the carers themselves, we have all received a quality service. My mother was initially very resistant to the idea of having carers
at home but she now has nothing but praise for the care that she has received. Each carer has been very kind, patient, understanding and helpful and their time keeping is very reliable. If my mother should need extra help in the future, I feel I can contact them and they would be happy to assist further. I would have no hesitation in recommending District Home Care to anyone else who requires carers.

We have been using the services of District Home Care for around a year now. My mother was adamant that she did not need help, and only an over-night stay in hospital allowed me to finally introduce care. Since that time, she has nothing but praise for the carers that visit her, 'they are all
lovely'. I have met a number of them and have found them efficient, and extremely kind and patient with her. My mother's needs have increased, and District Home Care have always stepped up to any new challenge. I can contact them at any time with concerns, or changes to her care needs. They have always been kind and sympathetic and have been extremely flexible to our needs, and I believe they have always gone that extra mile for us. To me they are a life saver, and I can be confident that mum is being kept safe and well, I thank them so much. I would have no hesitation in recommending District Home Care to anyone who needs care providers.

Like many people, we didn't realise we needed care until the situation was urgent. After a fall and a difficult medical diagnosis, we needed care for mum every day. One staff member in particular and the team were calm, kind and most importantly there for us. District Home Care swung into action and
their team provided kind, respectful and diligent care, despite mum's belief that she didn't really need them! Everyone was professional and absolutely delivered on our request to the letter. I have no qualms in recommending them wholeheartedly.

I found District Home Care during a really difficult time when my father fell ill. Having never used the agency and its staff have been nothing short of excellent and came as a huge relief knowing our parents were in safe hands. They have been so flexible with our ever-changing needs as our care
requests turned from dad to mum then back to dad again. Carers are professional, versatile and most importantly caring. With a small agency, one really feels the personal touches provided and attention to detail, keeping us informed daily with what's been done and any concerns. District Home Care has provided afternoon healthcare cover for one day each week to care for my wife who has dementia. The staff member has been the same person for over a year now and has displayed all the required competencies and professionalism in providing the necessary support to enable me to
undertake domestic duties and take some respite time. It should be acknowledged that my wife has not always proven the easiest person to manage, but the healthcare assistant has persevered and is managing a somewhat challenging situation very well indeed. I am pleased with the current arrangement and recommend District Home Care to potential clients.

We felt totally overwhelmed when my mother's condition suddenly deteriorated and we needed to find some care for her but District Home Care has been fantastic. They are responsive, reliable and efficient, and have given us really sensible advice about how to best meet my mother's needs. But more
than that, they have been incredibly kind. They are patient with my mother (and with me!) and are very thoughtful and kind. We couldn't do without them, and we couldn't ask for anything more.

Excellent, practical support and care when things didn't go to plan.
I contacted District Home Care via this website. The manager rang me and we had a long, thorough conversation about my mother's situation. I felt listened to with compassion, kindness and understanding. I was offered useful advice
and general guidance on how to navigate the care market. When my mother was taken into A&E and it looked like she would need extra care, I turned to District Home Care. They were able to arrange a live-in carer at short notice (I was lucky) and offer me invaluable support at a time of crisis.
My mother however was having none of it. The situation was intense and my mother was very distressed. I decided, less than 24 hours in, that I needed to terminate the agreement. The staff responded very promptly and proactively as we talked matters through. The process of disengaging was handled smoothly, efficiently and with compassion. When the going got tough they were there. Wonderful people, excellent service.

We first used District Home Care to provide care in the day for my mother-in-law. They were sensitive to her requirements, working out which carers she got on best with. Her primary carer was amazing, she had a deep understanding of her needs and kept her as calm and happy as possible. Then my
father-in-law had an accident which required emergency 24 hour care, followed by a number of quick-following health crises for both. District Home Care always managed to find someone to help, even at zero notice. Things became very difficult as my mother-in-law's health deteriorated, and they helped us understand how we could try to get the best possible treatment for both of them. We now have a 24 hour live in carer for my father-in-law and she is wonderful. She works tirelessly to support him and help him both enjoy life (lovely meals and walks) and get the healthcare he needs (help with GP appointments
and medications). She insisted on calling 999 after a minor fall, and the doctors found he needed emergency neurosurgery. Her actions saved his life.

I'm immensely grateful to District Home Care for their exceptional support for my aunt. After her ankle fracture, their immediate assistance was invaluable. The carers prioritised her comfort and well-being, demonstrating both skill and empathy. Their responsiveness was impressive; the manager
organised a tailored care plan and adjusted it as needed, giving us peace of mind. The entire team embodies compassion and professionalism. Thank you for helping my aunt regain her confidence. We're profoundly thankful.

The team from District Home Care has been caring for my wife, for almost six months, both morning and evening. Apart from unforeseen circumstances (out of their control) they have attended her close to the scheduled roster on every occasion. They have never missed a visit which is greatly
reassuring.
Every member of the team of carers has been lovely. Nothing is too much trouble and all have been attentive to my wife’s needs (and mine too when I was recovering simultaneously from minor surgery). All have been cheerful and professional and enjoy their work. On my wife’s imminent discharge from hospital last year, (after a stay of over four months), we were given a list of around thirty care providers. With no friends locally able to provide personal recommendations it was something of a stab in the dark to select one. Following some online research, District Home Care was top of our list and after one telephone call, we went with them. We have always been glad we did.
