View Full Details of Bluebird Care FarehamI can't recommend Bluebird Care enough, they already provide wonderful care for my lovely 90 year old Mum who recently had a fall and a 5 week stay in hospital. Sadly this had a big impact on her decline with her vascular Dementia. Myself and my family were invited to attend a Dementia Workshop run by Bluebird, it is totally free and so informative. The information was delivered in a professional and caring manner and was a real eye opener, it really helped us to see life through Mums eyes. It also confirmed that Mums Dementia journey had started long before we even realised. I would honestly say that any one would find this workshop useful, you never know when you might need support for a loved one and it might just help to spot the signs early enough to try and halt the progression or get the help and support you need.
Bluebird Care Fareham have been looking after my sister for a year now and I can only say how caring and supportive they all are. My sister had three carers before supplied from different agencies, none were the right fit for all sorts of reasons. Bluebird have worked hard to ensure my sister is happy, safe and well cared for. It is good to know that she is safe and smiling, rather than scared and sad on her own. Bluebird have enabled this. Bluebird recently trialled a new training programme for carers, and I was fortunate to be one of the people able to attend a session and see it before it goes live. It will be rolled out to GP practices in the area, and I would encourage all of these practices to take it up and advertise it to carers and workers, all of whom, I am sure, would find it interesting and benefit from the content.
The manager and her team have been amazing getting care put in place for our client, they were able to get everything in place quickly. Our client is really happy with the care he is receiving and is enjoying the time he gets with the carers so far. the communication has also been amazing and we couldn't of asked for a better care service.
Over the last number of years Bluebird Care have been looking after my mum working in partnership with Old People's Mental Health Winchester. Ours is a bit of an unusual setup as i live in Northern Ireland so i am not readily on hand to just pop in and lend a hand. However that being said the team are great they keep me regularly updated and have a chat about ongoing issues with mum and her dementia. We have covered lost TV remotes, hearing aids and an allegedly stolen set of teeth that were sat on the windowsill in the bathroom. They are in several times a day and occasionally extra if i get a phone call from meals on wheels where mum wont let them in or just ignores the doorbell. I have provided them access to a card so they do mum's shopping and buy extra items that come up unexpectedly keeping me fully updated as required. They provide a valuable service in lite of our difficult situation and make themselves available as required. Definitely recommended.
I receive care twice a week to help me shower and give other general help. I have found every carer efficient, polite and helpful. I am impressed that Blue Bird staff receive in-service training, which is reflected in their work. I have never been let down, every planned visit has taken place at the time requested.
Our aunt who has Alzheimer's has had care and support from Bluebird Care Fareham since November 2024. We are so pleased that she is now reliably getting her medication (including one for Alzheimer's), meals, the house is clean and tidy and she is able to get into a made bed each night, which all just gives her back her dignity. The care team are all very kind and caring, and have a genuine interest in her wellbeing. The office team are professional, understanding, kind and nothing is too much trouble. We feel so reassured that she is seeing people every day which not only really helps her mood, but also means we know she is safe. She and I get a weekly schedule of all her visits so I can coordinate a food shop delivery when one of the team are with her to help put it all away. Her support needs have already increased and will again as time goes on, but we as a family are confident that will be well cared for.
The carer is the sixth carer for our Mother due to Mum having quite a determined personality. She is amazing as mum sees her as part of the family even saying love you before she goes to bed. Sit-in carers, the manager and staff have all listened to the family and as a result, Mum is content and happy in her own home. Thank you.
Bluebird Care has been looking after my close friend for three years now with increasing extra attention required. They always show thought and comfort for the client. The staff are considerate, efficient and reliable. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The Fareham branch is well-managed and responds to any requests for extra help on short notice. I have no hesitation in recommending their services.
Always treated cheerfully by the carers. They treat me with dignity. I am very happy with all of them and the service I receive.
Overall service is very good. Your care workers are caring, respectful, cheerful and reliable. I would have given a 5-star rating if it wasn’t for the fact that yesterday I was informed that your notice of cancellation of a visit is changing from 48 hours to 28 days in October, even if the client has been admitted to hospital. One of the main reasons we use Bluebird is the flexibility we have with the 48-hour cancellation period. I am very disappointed with the change in your terms and conditions.
Bluebird Care Fareham offer a great domiciliary care service. It's reassuring to know that Mum can stay in her own home and be kept well, safe and happy with regular visits from carers, giving the family peace of mind. The management team are easy to contact and more than helpful when issues arise and sort problems quickly. The visiting care staff are a very special group of people who all work really hard and often long hours. I have found them to be kind, patient and friendly with Mum and also pretty punctual, thorough and efficient. Staff turnover does seem to be an issue but apparently quite usual in this line of work and recently under very difficult circumstances. None of this has affected the quality of Care Mum has received throughout and to date. I would highly recommend using Bluebird Care Fareham.
I have been very satisfied with all the care that my husband has received. They are all cheerful and friendly and willing. When I have had to change the timing this has been done efficiently. My husband has enjoyed all the activities that have been provided. I am very grateful for all their support.
Thanks to all the carers that support mum each day and all the work they do which is above and beyond which really helps take some of the pressure off of me. The communication with Blue Bird is good however I was slightly surprised not to be formally notified that there was a new care supervisor.
The care that is provided is exemplary, always carried out with a smile and a cheery word. The visits are carried out with care, consideration and professionalism, nothing is ever too much. The visits have become something to look forward to.
