After my mum's stroke last September she was unable to properly look after certain tasks including making meals, getting herself up for the day etc.
I live in Canada so visit every few months since a hip fracture my mum had 2 1/2 years ago.
She was also housebound due to visual compromises
including hallucinations and onset of dementia.
The carers always took time to check in with her, making a connection part of the caretaking visit.
She looked forward to seeing them as she had very little social interaction otherwise.
They always ensured she was clean, fed and comfortable and I felt a great sense of trust that her needs were being met.
I wish to extend my wholehearted thanks to the entire staff and would recommend this company to anyone requiring care services.

We have been very happy with the service we have received. You have been accommodating in regards to changes in shifts and it has been particularly reassuring to have just a small number of carers which Mum has got to know. When I have met the carers myself they have also been friendly.
Communication has been good - being able to email requests rather than calls is beneficial to both us and carer manager.

The ladies at the New Shepherd Care Agency were absolutely wonderful and provided amazing support for my mum during her recovery after a long hospital stay. They were kind, patient, and professional, and helped her settle back into home life with comfort and confidence.
They also made sure to
escalate any concerns promptly and arranged a GP appointment when needed, which gave us great peace of mind. We're so grateful for their care and attention they truly went above and beyond, even ensuring that Mum looked exceptional for her birthday.
Its been a delight to see how well the work with mum

Always on time, which in the mobile care industry is very difficult as time has to be given for travel and running late on previous appointments.
Polite and courteous. The care is fantastic for my mum. I feel they have a knowledge and understanding of my mums needs. They also ask after me as mums
main carer. Without them my mum wouldn't be able to stay in her home.

I was able to look at the providers being suggested by the NHS for my elderly Aunt when she came out of hospital.
I read the reviews and decided to express a preference for this provider. I am so glad that I did. My aunt flourished with their care, and pressure sores healed.
New Shepherd chose
a small team of 4 or 5 carers to provide the lunch break and personal care double ups, so my Aunt did not have to get to know (or try and remember) too many different faces and names. They also used that group to rotate the live in so that every 4 weeks, a new person from the group came to live in. Staying with someone 24/7 would become very wearing and lead to fraying of nerves all round, but their system meant the live in carer got a break, my aunt was looked after by someone she knew, and I didn't have to worry about hand overs etc
Digital care records mean I see updates on how my Aunt is being cared for, her mood, her pain, her food Highly recommend NCS.

After a terrible service from a previous care agency, Shepherds Care has been a breath of fresh air, not only has the care been excellent the communication between the carer and ourselves is great, every visit is logged on a really easy-to-use app, which the carer updates after every visit which is
reassuring, I would highly recommend shepherds care.

Delighted with the care I get from New Shepherd Care. They look after me very well. The staff are all lovely. Easy to talk to about any problems. Two of the carers saved my life, they said I needed to go to hospital, I had Sepsis and was very ill when I got to hospital.

The carers always greet nicely.
They are polite and abide to the needs of the patient. Five or six carers on rota, so they know the needs and routine of patient.

I am delighted with the care I receive. All our carers are splendid. Every time we open the door we welcome a smiling carer.
They look after me with great care dignity and efficiency. They are helpful beyond the care of duty. Always good company. Despite transport difficulties, they always manage
to get here on time. We never feel rushed.
We look upon all our carers as members of the family.

Tosin is a very good carer, he takes very good care of my mum.
The whole company is very accommodating and always able to work with family to ensure my mum gets the care she needs.
We always have regular carers which is nice as mum gets to know them and build relationship with them.

are always on time and go above and beyond!

I have been very pleased with the care my husband has received. The carers were all very patient with him as he has Alzheimer's and could be difficult.

The service is consistently very friendly and always on time, ensuring they finish within the scheduled timeframe. They are exceptionally friendly and helpful with disabled individuals, showing great understanding and consideration for their specific needs. The staff are easygoing and truly
understand what is required to support a disabled person. I highly recommend this agency.

For over 4 months now Shepherd Care have been assisting my husband with his personal care. The carers are kind, arrive on time and ask my husband what he needs support with. The carers are not rushing my husband, he always makes his own decision.
The carers would sit down and have a conversation
with him, then listen to him and interact with him, he does not feel isolated or being left alone. I always hear good feedback from my husband every time when the carers have been.

Since my mother needed homecare 6 months ago. New Shepard Care has been a godsend...punctual, professional and trustworthy. I couldn't ask for more and wouldn't use anyone else. I have had experience with other homecare providers, this team are head and shoulders above the rest.

Really caring and efficient staff. They are all of the same high quality. They treat my husband with respect and dignity. Very good service that I would highly recommend. Any problems are sorted out quickly without any fuss.

Cannot praise them enough, they looked after my uncle with care and compassion, they took their time with him, giving him respect and dignity enabling him to stay in his own home in familiar surroundings, cooking his meals for him and even feeding him when that became hard for him, even looking
after his pet cat, can’t thank them enough.

The team from New Shepherd have been consistently caring, considerate, kind, respectful and punctual. In the last year, we have dealings with 3 different care companies and as a company, New Shepherd has been far and away the best. That includes the help and service from their office staff. When
they have offered 24-hour care that has indeed been provided by them all.

New Shepherd Care took care of my 96 year old mum for a couple of nights recently when she was confused and couldn’t be left alone. Mum does not speak English and we were worried she couldn’t cope with a stranger looking after her, but the carer was extremely kind and patient and somehow made her
feel at ease and comfortable. Many thanks to New Shepherd Care!
