I went visiting a friend, while I was visiting the carer arrived and said she wasn't going to change the pad cause I was present, I said to the carer I will step out of the room so this could be done. Considering this care call is supposed to be half hour long for lunch and change of pad and
hoisting into the lounge, the carers only stayed for 15 mins max. I also noticed that my friends feet had all dead skin and dry skin when I asked if her feet are washed my friend confirmed this didn't happen and you could see her feet are not being cleaned and washed properly.

I would not recommend this care provider to anyone. There have been missed calls or combined calls - eg one call for tea time and bedtime combined, they have left the property unlocked and not returned the key to the key safe on two occasions in two weeks, and they have poor standards of hygiene and
care. They regularly send male carers when the customer clearly has asked for female carers. Generally, their attitude is to get the task done and leave - care shouldn't be in their title. I have logged my concerns about this care provider with Herts Social Services.

My wife has been under the care of the wonderful staff of Care By Us for over a year and in palliative care since July 2023.
The caring team visiting four times a day were incredibly professional in what they had to do, yet chatted to my wife, making her smile and totally relaxed. She always looked
forward to their visits and joined in with their gossip and jokes. They also gave me excellent and thoughtful care as the home carer, and support me with some of the jobs I was struggling with. I always got a friendly lecture on the importance of getting rest and looking after my own health too.

My husband's actual regular carers are brilliant but forget about Saturday nights, absolutely rubbish and stressful as they can't cover and haven't for the last year. Considering changing as the office doesn't sort out any problems.
