View full details of Care In Your Home LtdCare in your home have been looking after mum over the past year. They give her a bath and make her toast and coffee in the morning and come back at lunch time to make sure she eats her meals and enjoys her cup of tea. They have always respected her taken care of her needs, they have even gone out of their way to support me when I've felt overwhelmed and need someone to talk to. They are such a caring and respectful company, with truly wonderful staff.
Very caring and gentle, good communication between staff and client.
My mother came out of hospital in June not walking. She has carers 4 times a day. CIYH have been great at sorting things out, from arranging pads and a better hoist. All the carers are friendly, great at giving Mum dignity and providing excellent. Highly recomend.
We contacted CIYH when my dad was having numerous issues with mobility and self-hygiene. Initially we had 3 visits per day with 2 carers each time. After a while this was reduced to 1 carer each visit once they understood his condition and mobility. Generally speaking we've found the carers kind and helpful and often able to share a laugh with my father. Whilst there has been the occasional small issue, usually everything was resolved in a satisfactory manner. This was especially hard situation for my mum and the carers took their time to talk to her and look after her where they were able. Their kindness and consideration was so much appreciated. The one concern I would have - and I understand it's difficult - is the varied time of visits. For example some mornings could see a carer arrive at 7.55am and others not until 9.15 or so. Equally night time visits ranged from 9pm to 10.30pm. We would use CIYH again should the need arise.
Very caring and gentle, good communication between staff and client.
Domiciliary carers from Care in Your Home have been helping my elderly father for over a year. I have found their work to be excellent - the carers are very efficient and cheerful and helped my father continue receiving care in his own home rather than go into a care home.
Care In Your Home looked after my mother for several years. Initially with two visits a day and then four visits. They helped her with washing and dressing, prepared her meals and managed her medication. I do not live locally and so it was important and a great comfort knowing that I didn't need to worry. I had total trust in her carers and their professionalism. They were always caring and considerate and always took time to chat to my mother and ensure she had everything she needed. My mother had several falls outside of her timed care visits and they were available many times to wait with her until an ambulance arrived. Thanks to the standard of care it enabled my mother to stay in her own home for much longer. Even now (of her own choice) after she has moved to a nursing home nearer to me , she still misses her carers.
Professional and polite. Caring and asked if anything they could do. They also seem to care about me and the carer as well.
Care In Your Home took over from me as I was burnt out from looking after my husband for 4 years. My husband had dementia and was in denial. The ladies looked after him starting with morning care, after a while we had to increase it to twice a day, and after attending the hospital we had to increase it to 4 times a day. When the ladies visited they were kind, thoughtful, happy, and cheerful, made him laugh, and left him comfortably and in a good mood. His health deteriorated, and palliative care. He passed away after 10 years of care. I can strongly recommend Care In Your Home for the carers and management for the extra attention when my husband needed it.
The director and his team always went above and beyond. Caring for my father in the most compassionate and caring way. They took on board getting him up, dressing, sorting meals and gave him great company too. They also supported his immediate family, especially after the death of his wife. I would 100% recommend Care In Your Home.
The ladies from Care in Your Home looked after my sister (who was in her early seventies) for almost three years prior to her death at the end of July 2023. My sister was paralysed from the shoulders downwards, but her mind operated completely normally, so this was a difficult combination for the carers to cope with. They called four times a day and had to do everything for her except feed her, which was her husband's responsibility - except when he was ill himself, when the carers took over that task as well. Throughout this time everyone was admirable (and reliable), and I and her husband (who is in his late eighties) cannot thank both the Care in Your Home management and the caring team enough. If you are looking for a care service for yourself or someone close to you, I highly recommend that you contact Care in Your Home to discuss your needs, at your earliest opportunity.
I would like to say how fantastic Care In Your Home are. My mother-in-law has early onset dementia. From the moment they took her on, they have been nothing but supportive to her needs and pivotal to the increased quality of life that she now enjoys. She's always found it difficult to meet new people and could be very nervous. The lovely team came to meet her and put her at ease. She now looks forward to her care calls and the amazing people that come to see her. What a difference they have made to her life in such a short time. She's now more confident and enjoys going out with them. They have been very professional, respectful and above all caring with their approach to her needs, listening to her and adapting were needed. I'd just like to say a big thank you to the entire team at Care In Your Home for their fantastic dedication to our family. If your looking for a care team for your loved one then these are the people you want, a close-knit, family-orientated business with heart.
Care In Your Home has helped me to be a live-in carer for my 97-year-old father for the last 3 years of his life. My father was a dignified, proud man who ended his days in his home (as he wanted) because Care In Your Home did the jobs that my father did not wish his daughter to do. The managers are very helpful and incredibly responsive to every rocky turn that the unpredictable life of an elderly person takes. The entire team are wonderful, professional and kind. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Care In Your Home provided care for Mum over a four year period until she moved to live with my sister. Initially, Mum had just morning care and after a while we added evening care. All the carers that visited were kind, thoughtful and efficient. They provide all the care needed, plus vital companionship during their visits. This daily care worked really well and, on occasions when needed, a carer would take Mum for medical appointments when a family member was not able to do so. In a couple of emergency situations CIYH staff responded immediately and cared for her until emergency services took over or a family member arrived. The team are terrific and I recommend them strongly. You won’t be disappointed.
My mother had a stroke seven years ago, she has had three/four carers every day, including Bank Holidays and Christmas. They have all been a great help in maintaining my mum's dignity and continuance to live as normal a life as possible. Over this time she has made lasting friendships with them. All of the team (and in particular the management) have gone above and beyond to help out in attending to my mum's needs at the drop of a hat, almost part of the family. She could not have survived without their dedication and caring approach. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs assistance or caring at home. Ten out of ten.
My daughter has been in the care of Care In Your Home for at least five years now and I can honestly say that they have been the best company ever to deal with her. All the staff, office and carers, have been a joy to deal with. They are kind, patient and caring. I know my daughter is in safe hands with them. They keep me informed where necessary as I currently live in France. The director, although senior management, is not adverse to hands-on if needed and is mindful of information. I would highly recommend this company if you are in need of a carer. Well done Care In Your Home and thank you.
Just to say I highly recommend Care In Your Home just doesn't say enough. It's not only the understanding and extra care provided to my father as his dementia progressed but when I found myself stuck overseas due to Covid restrictions, the help and advice I received as a relative went way beyond my expectations, for which I can't thank them enough. If you or a loved one are in need of some extra help you could not do better than contact Care In Your Home.
The staff of Care In Your Home Ltd. looked after my mother for two and a half years. Sadly, my mother passed away several months ago. I was very involved in the day-to-day care of my mother but I could not have managed without the visits of carers throughout the day and their support of me, apart from anything else. They dealt with my mother in a friendly and professional manner and positive relationships were established over time. My mother, although not happy to be reliant on other people, benefited from the social interaction which their visits provided and the carers themselves were invariably cheery, positive and encouraging. The carers my mother saw most regularly genuinely cared about her. I cannot speak too highly of the care the agency provided, particularly towards the end of my mother's life. I think the name of the agency - Care In Your Home - sums it up.
Care In Your Home providers carers for my mother for over 4 years as her physical and mental health deteriorated due to dementia. They were carers in the true sense of the word, I felt they really did care for my mother. Without them, we would never have been able to keep my mother at home. They made a difference by providing all the care, whether it was washing, dressing or feeding with warmth and a smile, talking to her, making her laugh, bringing the sunshine into the house. Now they care for my father. I live a long way from my parents and know that I can place complete trust in the ladies to do the best for my father and inform me immediately of any issues.
Having ‘Care In Your Home' on board and helping us with Dads care - is a great weight off our minds in the Family . It’s good to know that Dad is getting regular daily help and contact with ‘good people’ at home. The team that visit each day are more than happy to go that extra mile – which is refreshing to see. Thank you. You and the team are a great help – keep up the good work .
