Marie Curie Cancer Care provides the largest number of specialist palliative care beds outside the NHS within a well-managed, comfortable and friendly environment. Patients are supported by professional teams including consultants, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers and chaplains, focusing on the best possible quality of life and addressing physical, spiritual and social needs. Marie Curie Cancer Care is also unique in that it provides practical nursing care in the homes of over 50% of people seriously ill with cancer who die at home, without charge to patients or their families.
