I'd like to write this review regarding about my Nana, first day she went into hospital couldn't thank the two carers enough for staying with her until we got there they were lovely, however we got told my Nana would pass away not one single phone call from the care team to say sorry about our loss which I thinks disgusting, not a single phone call from the manager, Monday 30th April the day my Nana was going to pass away I received a phone call from social services to say carers have handed my Nana back to social services what a call to get which is found absolutely disgusting, 27th march I did speak to the supervisor explaining what was going on, however 30th and 31st no answer and not one single call back from them, so to me that shows there was no remorse or any care at all in my eyes my nana was just a service. The two carers on the 21st of march were amazing they were holding my nanas hand waited till we got there and rang the ambulance i would give them two 5 star.
Mam receives an excellent level of care. She is well known to all the staff here at Crossgates. She is doing well and is enjoying being able to spend time with the other residents in the communal area. Mam enjoys her own company in her own flat. As a family, we feel happy that mam is safe in this environment. Mam likes to go for a walk inside and outside the flats. We know that the staff look out for her and make sure she is safe. I would just like to say thank you to all the staff at Crossgates. You are all doing a wonderful job.
Some carers take the time to greet face to face before tasks and again when leaving. Others just go straight to tasks as quick as possible.
