My mother-in-law was very hesitant at first when I suggested additional help, but she is loving the attention and has nothing but praise for her 'girls' (her words, not mine).
She is planning to have care one more day per week.

Ashton carers have been looking after my husband in varying degrees for almost 4 years helping with showering, exercising, incontinence and Dementia with a very cheerful attitude every visit no matter what the day was like. They would always treat him with dignity and respect even if he occasionally wasn't respectful to them. They were nice and friendly. He really enjoyed the chats with them and with his dry sense of humour there was always banter going back and forth it cheered up the visits for him and me as well as it gave me a laugh just to hear them. My husband was put on end-of-life care in January and I want to praise the level of care, compassion and kindness that they treated him with as he drifted many times near to death but always bounced back until sadly he passed away in October. They always explained fully everything they were going to be doing to him and asked if it was ok so as not to cause him distress. We both appreciated them very much and fully recommend them.
Feel the carers are friendly and helpful but do not get very much time from visit to visit for what we pay, same as the elderly like companionship over everything.
The agency is good and the carers are great. The carers come in all weather and road disruptions, they have made every appointment and never missed a visit. The carers are polite and interested in you and their client. They are friendly and helpful in all they do.

Ashton Domiciliary Care have looked after my Father on a daily basis for the past 4 years. I trust they have his welfare front of mind. Meet the Team (15)
Sue founded Ashton Care over thirty years ago and has a passion for excellent care.
She was qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) shortly after the qualification was introduced to the UK.
This means Sue has had the knowledge and experience to put empathy, understanding and compassion at the heart of the work Ashton Domiciliary Care does.
Sue has overall responsibility for supporting the Registered Manager in providing exceptional service to the local community.
Emma started her career with Ashton Care at the age of 16 as a tea-time assistant. She has dedicated her working life to providing exemplary person-centred care to Ashton Care service users and in doing so has shown the compassion, empathy and professionalism needed to gain not just Registered Manager status but also to qualify as a Register Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
Emma has gained management experience in the varying residential settings at Ashton Care which has allowed her the opportunity to develop her awareness of a wider range of specialist care needs. She applies this attentively when reviewing the support needed for those who wish to live in their own homes but need that bit of extra support.
Rachel has spent over 10 years dedicated to providing a caring and empathetic person-centred approach to care.
Rachel has always worked diligently to ensure that good quality and compassionate care is at the forefront of all the work she does. She has spent her time getting to know each individual to ensure they receive the dedicated support not just from Ashton Domiciliary Care but from other healthcare professionals too.
