I am aged 84. Recently I was in hospital for 4 days suffering from an acute loss of sodium. I was weak and immobile. I was treated with an intravenous saline drip. On discharge I was supplied with a Zimmer frame. I continued to be somewhat weak and immobile. I had Beeches care for 7 weeks. I had 6 different carers. They helped me shower and dress in the mornings. Before the period of care started there was a meeting with a manager, and my wife was present. A form of "action plan" was agreed. All the carers were attentive, helpful and pleasant. They all filed a report after each visit, so all the carers knew the current situation. One of the carers was also a physiotherapist and he gave me some helpful advice by way of exercises. Towards the end of the period of care I was encouraged to shower and dress myself to make sure I was able to do it. I would have no hesitation in using Beehes again should I need them.
Thank you for a lovely review. We are so glad that we were able to help you regain strength, confidence and re-establish your independence after your hospital stay. It's good to know you would contact us again, should the need arise. The carers loved hearing your stories and having a laugh with you.
I am so grateful to have found Beeches. They have gone above and beyond to support my elderly Aunt, not just with routine tasks during their visits, but being alert and proactive to my Aunt's health and wellbeing needs.
They have given us such peace of mind knowing that caring professionals are checking on and supporting her, when we are far away. They treat her with dignity and respect and she's now proud to call them her "Carers", whereas initially she would only allow them in ostensibly to help with the "housework".
Communication is always excellent and they keep us informed of any concerns and respond really quickly to any special requests that we may make.
Thank you H G for a wonderful review. Your aunt is fiercely independent and it is good to hear she is now allowing our carers to help her more with a variety of jobs.
So very kind, courteous and helpful and also some have a wonderful sense of humour, so we all get giggling, great way to start and end a day.
Thank you for your brilliant review. We are pleased that we are able to support your husband with his ongoing recovery and rehabilitation, and also supporting you with respite visits to allow you the break you need.
We as a family are more than happy with the way you look after our Queen (mum). As you all know we treat her like a queen, you all do as well. Which is all we cant ask for more.If there is any problems, I've never had any problems with speaking to the office. Your all 100% in our lifes.
Thank you Maxine for your kind words. It is a pleasure looking after your mum. She is, indeed, a queen!
On many occasions the staff , including management, have gone far beyond what would be expected. For example, on more than one occasion they have remained with dad for many hours extra waiting for an ambulance following falls. Without Beeches we never would have been able to keep him in his own home so long.
Thank you Ben for a fabulous review. Dad still proves to be a character with determination and a fighting spirit! We look forward to continuing to support dad, living life the way he chooses.
Carers are professional, compassionate, caring, organised, well trained and knowledgeable. They always arrive on time with a smile on their faces, kind words and knowing exactly how to handle my mother, who is 87, has dementia and can be difficult. I can only highly recommend this care agency.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a positive review. We're delighted to hear that our fabulous team is providing the high-quality support and care needed to enable your mother to remain safe at home, where she wants to be, and to work closely with you to achieve this goal. Thank you again.
We have used The Beeches for some years and have found the firm to be professional and efficient. We have a good working relationship with all the staff and are grateful for their considerate understanding and for accommodating extra requirements, sometimes at short notice.
Thank you very much for your positive review. It has been a pleasure to have been involved in the care of your parents for over 10 years.
My Mum has received home care from The Beeches since she came out of respite care last June. Originally she had carers twice a day, but now we are down to three times a week to help her showering. The care package put together has always been what we have needed. The carers at The Beeches are fully trained and highly experienced, most having worked for the company for years. All Mum's carers have been so helpful, considerate and polite and they are like extended family to us, we always look forward to seeing them. I can't recommend them highly enough.
Thank you so much for your kind review. Our aim is to promote independence and reable where possible. I am please we have been able to achieve this for your mum.
Beeches Homecare Services are highly recommended!! They provide brilliant all-round care and companionship for my mother, who suffers from dementia. My mother thoroughly enjoys the carers' company, where they visit her morning and evening and twice a week they also take her out shopping and visits to local cafe's, which she loves. Having Beeches means that Mum can stay in her flat, surrounded by her own comforts, but enabling Mum to still have some independence, which is important. Beeches are perfect in providing all the care Mum needs including personal hygiene, food preparation, cleaning, ironing etc. All the carers are so friendly, respectful and helpful, where nothing is too much. The Beeches office staff are also excellent in their communication and organisation of arranging extra appointments for the doctors or dentist. They are so accommodating and again so friendly. I would strongly recommend Beeches to anyone and I can't thank them enough for such a fantastic service!
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review. It's good to hear that social interactions within the community have been beneficial to your mum.
FANTASTIC, FANTASTIC, FANTASTIC.
When we need urgent care brought in for my mother they had it allsorted within a couple of hrs. No matter who you speak too, nothing is to much trouble. They will help with what ever is needed all within hrs.
Just love them.
They are a amazing team.
More important, my mum loves them and is safe again in her own home.
If there was a hundred star rating it wouldnt be enough.
FANTASTIC feedback; thank you! We'll let the team know.
Highly recommend! The Beeches have been providing home care for my mum for the past 18 months after my dad had a fall and was struggling to look after her. Mum has dementia and incontinence. With the support of The Beeches, Mum and Dad have been able to carry on living in their own home as long as possible. Beeches carers have helped with Mum's personal hygiene and with getting dressed in the morning and ready for bed in the evening, as well as domestic tasks like preparing food and doing laundry. We found The Beeches carers to be professional, dependable and compassionate. They have coped with Mum's difficult behaviours with good humour but also have the persistence needed to get the job done. They are reliable and punctual. The management team have been flexible and great to work with as the family's needs have evolved. Overall The Beeches team have become our extended family and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review Pete. We already miss mum and dad and hope they have settled in well following their move "up north". We believe that any challenges were made easier by our fabulous relationship with you and the extended family. We wish you all the very best.
Beeches care strikes the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth, ensuring that clients maintain their dignity and quality of life. I am so grateful to The Beeches and would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone seeking top-tier care for their loved ones.
We all adored your mum and are pleased we were able to make her stay at home possible. It was wonderful to work alongside a loving family.
My mother has been well cared for and supported for several years by The Beeches Homecare Services. Especially after a stay in hospital the carers have gone the extra mile to help with rehabilitation. She has appreciated their friendship and the stimulation they have provided has been valuable. The office staff have been very efficient in communicating with me if any concerns arose and they were promptly dealt with.
Thank you for your review. I hope Mum has settled into her new environment. We would love to learn more from you about how to improve Care/Support going forward, and look forward to hearing from you.
They always arrived cheerful and never let us down. My husband called them his friends.
Thank you for your positive review Bridget. Over the 14 years of caring for your husband, you both became more than just clients; it felt like you were part of our family.
My family and I also appreciated the wonderful administration staff. They were always responsive, caring and helpful. We had daily updates from each visit and nothing was too much trouble.
I thoroughly recommend the Beeches.
Thank you very much for your kind review Alix. We have very fond memories of caring for Mum over the years. She is missed by us all.

Francis Barrett has worked in the organisation for 14 years, getting to know the nuts and bolts of the business whilst also engaging with Local Authorities, health professionals and other care companies who shape the market in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
Before coming to join the family business, Fran had worked in financial services for over 21 years in the City of London; for two British merchant banks and latterly for JP Morgan’s Private Wealth Management division.
He is committed to driving improvement in domiciliary care through an alliance between traditional care values and cutting-edge assistive technology. “The digital revolution can provide significant benefits to our service, vital information can be communicated between healthcare professionals, our clients and their families so much faster and in more detail, leading to timely interventions when care needs change or when health emergencies arise.” Technology also provides the opportunity to collect and analyse large amounts of data so that trends can be identified to help in the prevention of health deterioration.
Catherine Barrett is co-owner and Director of The Beeches Homecare Services with her husband Fran and sister-in-law Tess.
Catherine worked in the legal industry for prestigious London firms for over 10 years before having twin girls.
In January 2010 she, and her family, moved to Malmesbury in Wiltshire to join the family business.
Like many other people, her first real experience of the care industry came at a time when her mother, who suffered from cancer, was cared for, at home, by wonderful Macmillan nurses. They enabled her mother to be cared for with dignity and in the comfort of her own home, with a loving family surrounding her.
Amongst other things, Catherine is responsible for carer recruitment. “Employing empathetic, kind people is paramount in the recruitment of carers; to find someone who you would choose to look after your own loved ones is vital”.
Tess has 30 years of experience in the day-to-day operations of the business. Her focus is largely on ensuring that high care standards are maintained throughout the workforce and that a positive and collegiate workplace culture is fostered.
Alongside the managers she oversees the compliance side of care ensuring that the Beeches meets and exceeds all the requirements of the regulatory body the Care Quality Commission. This in part involves listening to people who use the service and ensuring that the company acts on feedback to drive improvement.
Tess has undertaken all the mandatory training that the carers do and enjoys the “hands-on” aspect of helping with care when needed.
Lydia started with The Beeches in 2013 as a part-time carer, juggling working life with raising a young family. She had previously worked in customer service roles including supermarket, bar, photo development and hot meal deliveries to people in their own homes.
During her time with The Beeches, she has progressed to senior carer in the Chippenham and Corsham team and then moved on to being a Super Senior covering duties for all 3 branches and learning the office role. Lydia then took up the care co-ordinator role in Cirencester and Tetbury which quickly progressed into being the assistant manager. In 2024 Lydia became a Registered Manager.
Lydia is passionate about care, ensuring that the people The Beeches supports have the right care to meet their needs, which makes them feel comfortable in their own homes.
She enjoys being able to get her tunic on and go out and work alongside the carers, covering visits when required.
When Lydia is not at work she enjoys spending time with her children, watching the football, rugby and darts. She enjoys the occasional karaoke session and is a self-professed coffee addict.

He returned to the UK in 2017 and took up the position of Training Manager at The Beeches Homecare Services.
“It has been a steep but enjoyable learning curve, and I have gained a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care and a Level 3 CAVA Assessor’s qualification.”
Clare is the Care Co-ordinator for Chippenham and Malmesbury.
Her 35-year career in care has covered domiciliary care, care home care and Marie Curie - End of Life care.
Clare joined The Beeches in 2015 as the Care Co-ordinator for Chippenham and has since taken over the management of the Malmesbury area too.
In her spare time, Clare enjoys time with her husband, grandchildren and walking her spaniel, Ronnie. Clare also enjoys travelling and the Cheltenham Festival, which she attends annually.
Caroline's career started in office work, both secretarial and accountancy until she had her family. Whilst her boys were young she worked evenings and nights in a nursing home and loved being a carer. When her boys started school she went back into office work again and continued until 2019, when she decided it was time for a career change. During this time Caroline helped to care for her Mum who sadly passed away from cancer and also was the main carer for her Aunt who had dementia until she went into a nursing home.
Caroline had always said she would like to go back into care work, so she applied and got offered a job with The Beeches Homecare Services as a carer, out and about in the community, meeting and helping some lovely Clients. The training and support received gave her confidence in her career change.
In a short time, Caroline was offered the role of senior carer taking on more responsibility. This progressed to a vacancy in the office for the Care Co-ordinator job looking after Cirencester and Tetbury teams.
Caroline says she feels very privileged to be part of the team and is lucky to work for an incredibly caring and professional company, where every single person, both Clients and staff, matter and are fully supported.
