My name is Louise, and I have worked in the social care industry since 1998, after completing my work experience in a care home, which resulted in a job as a care assistant.
I developed a passion for the job and went on to work in other care homes before joining Briars Homecare in 2016 as a carer.
While working as a carer, I completed an NVQ in Health and Social Care and then got the job of Care Co-Ordinator in the office, which is my current role. This role involves staff rostering, sourcing and allocating packages.
I love my job and enjoy the challenges and rewards that it brings day to day.
I started with the company in 2018 as a carer, which I absolutely loved, helping the Service Users.
In 2023, an opportunity came up to work in the office as Compliance; this was my goal!
I still get to meet the clients when I do care plans and risk assessments, and I enjoy getting to know more about them during this assessment.
I like to still do some care on occasion, but spend most of my time in the office.
I have worked for the company for 8 years now and thoroughly enjoy my job, and I get lots of support from everyone in the office and the care staff.
