Before joining the company, I worked in Management in a completely different industry for 15 years. The change in vocation was the best thing I have ever done, and I regret not doing this sooner.

Since joining Briars Homecare in early 2017 as a care assistant, I have worked my way up in all office roles before my current position as Office Manager.

I have been part of many positive changes in the company over the last 4 years, growing to where we are today, and I am proud to be a part of this growth with an amazing group of individuals.

The well-being of staff and service users is of great importance to me, and implementing an open-door policy means you will have a warm welcome, open arms, a listening ear (and the kettle will always be on)

No matter the challenges we all may face in this job, I am surrounded by a network of staff across the board who love the company as much as I do. And for that, I am proud and grateful.

My name is Louise, and I have worked in the social care industry since 1998, after completing my work experience in a care home, which resulted in a job as a care assistant.

I developed a passion for the job and went on to work in other care homes before joining Briars Homecare in 2016 as a carer.

While working as a carer, I completed an NVQ in Health and Social Care and then got the job of Care Coordinator in the office, which is my current role. This role involves staff rostering, sourcing and allocating packages.

I love my job and enjoy the challenges and rewards that it brings day to day.

I started with the company in 2018 as a carer, which I absolutely loved, helping the Service Users.

In 2023, an opportunity came up to work in the office as Compliance; this was my goal!

I still get to meet the clients when I do care plans and risk assessments, and I enjoy getting to know more about them during this assessment.

I like to still do some care on occasion, but spend most of my time in the office.

I have worked for the company for 8 years now and thoroughly enjoy my job, and I get lots of support from everyone in the office and the care staff.

Hi, I am Jess. I have worked for Briars Homecare for many years now. I enjoy being with and helping the clients. I hope I can brighten up their day as much as they brighten up mine.

Hi, I am Kartik. I am a caring, friendly and hardworking support worker who enjoys helping people maintain their independence and comfort in daily life. I always try to provide respectful and person-centred care, while building positive relationships with clients and their families. I am passionate about my work and enjoy making a difference in people's lives. I really enjoy one-to-one support work and sit-in services.

I am the longest-standing carer, working for Briars since 2015, as I feel it is nice for service users to have consistent carers. This builds a nice experience for them in their homes.

I am passionate about the care I provide alongside the team I work with.

I encourage independence in our service users, and look up to older staff members as they also have good life experience.

I am a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant with a genuine passion for supporting people to live comfortably, safely, and with dignity in their own homes. I take pride in building trusting relationships with the individuals I care for and always aim to provide person-centred care tailored to each person’s needs and preferences.

My role includes assisting with personal care, mobility support, medication prompts, meal preparation, companionship, and promoting independence wherever possible. I understand the importance of patience, empathy, and kindness, especially when supporting vulnerable individuals and their families during challenging times.

Outside of work, I enjoy nature, travelling, long walks, spending time with family, and caring for my animals. These interests help me stay grounded, compassionate, and connected to the values I bring into my caring role every day.
