Sam is Director and founder of the company which initially began from her home address in 2006.

Before her managerial role she worked for a variety of companies in and around Huddersfield caring for service users in their own homes, and has a wealth of experience in a caring role. She carried on with her career progression becoming a care coordinator and manager.

Sam completed her D32/D33 in Health and Social Care and more recently her Level 5 in Leadership and Management.

Sam’s caring nature is evident in her role as Company Director and Registered Manager and she is passionate in providing High Quality Care to individuals to allow them to remain in their own homes. Read less

Donna has worked for Care Counts Ltd since 2014, originally joining as a Care Coordinator from Age UK, where she worked as an NVQ trainer in Health & Social Care.

She has a Level 5 in Leadership and Management.

Before this, she had worked in Mental Health and for another Domiciliary Care Company as Manager for Huddersfield and Halifax areas.

Donna is responsible mainly for overseeing the Kirklees contract; however, she prides herself on her diplomacy and logical thinking and is often the go to person in the office when there are difficult situations which need resolving. Read less

Toni has worked for the company since it started and previously worked with Sam at another company as a carer/trainer. She has 20+ years of training experience, with her main expertise in Moving and Handling.

In Toni’s day-to-day role, she is responsible for all in-house training at Care Counts as well as identifying training needs and guiding new carers through their induction and care certificate.

Toni is very levelheaded and practical in her assessments of varying situations and environments. She is the person who usually organizes the coffee mornings at our office for The Kirkwood. Read less

Nicki has worked for the company since its very beginning in 2006. She has worked herself up the ‘ranks’ from being a carer to senior carer and for the last 6 years as Care Coordinator.

Nicki has a great deal of caring experience as well as being very organised and methodical in the office.

Nicki is responsible for ensuring the company is compliant regarding medication and carries out MAR chart audits on a regular basis, overseeing the whole of the service users we look after. She is also responsible for quality assurance and collates the carer and service user survey information annually. Read less

Michelle has worked for the company since the very beginning of its care journey, 20 years ago in 2006. She has always been a Care Coordinator for the Marsh/Lindley area, and previously she worked with Sam in a similar position for another company.

Shell has a wealth of experience in looking after service users with physical disabilities, as well as experience of dealing with Dementia and Elderly service users.

In the office, she is known and respected for the in-depth care plans she produces and deals with ‘Managing’ the Marsh/Lindley area of the company single-handedly. Read less

Sharon has worked for Care Counts for the past 16 years as one of the original carers that Sam persuaded to join her when she founded the business.

Sharon's experience in care has developed over the years and she has progressed from Carer to Senior Carer to now Care Coordinator.

Sharon is a very hands-on member of the team and likes to be ‘out there’ completing new assessments and problem solving.

She has a Level 3 in Health and Social Care and is a looking to build on this in the not-too-distant future. Read less

Sarah has worked for Care Counts for the last 3 ½ years as a senior carer and most recently as a care coordinator. She did briefly work for the company in 2016 but went off to further her career and experience in a care home/nursing setting.

She is currently in the middle of studying for a Level 4 in Health and Social Care.

Sarah is the go-to in our office for Rota’s and Finance whilst also continuing her caring role out in the community as and when needed. She has a very caring nature and will go over and beyond to make sure the service users receive the best care and experience from Care Counts. Read less
