Daily Care are a first rate, professional and caring team, and I would strongly recommend them. Daily Care provided home-based care for my Dad, who was incapacitated after a stroke, and my Mum, who was poorly with heart disease, for two and a half years until my Mum passed away and my Dad moved into residential care in October 2015. Throughout this period the Daily Care team came to the house four times a day, or sometimes more, and provided a wide range of services to my Dad, including moving him four times daily between bed and day chair and taking care of all his personal needs, and to my Mum, including help with morning tasks (getting up, showering and dressing) and food preparation.
Throughout this period we had a small team of carers who became extremely close to my parents, providing a highly professional service with a real personal warm touch. My Dad in particular was delighted to see the care team arrive, and they were always ready with some good conversation (and often laughter) to cheer him along. The carers were very quick in their work, and managed the arrangements brilliantly. The manager was a real help to us in finding out and arranging a lot of important details, such as how to secure regular deliveries of sanitary products, and how to manage prescriptions and drug deliveries.
During this time, despite being entirely incapable of moving himself, and confined to his bed and his chair, my Dad never suffered from any bed sores or similar discomforts, and minor issues (sore skin or itchiness) were immediately addressed and rectified. We were also amazed and delighted that he never experienced any chest infections or similar, despite having COPD and being in a vulnerable situation. I believe this is in part a compliment to the Daily Care team and their very high attention to details and professional approach.
I strongly recommend the team to anyone looking for a warm, caring, professional and highly competent care service.
