Every care plan is designed to promote independence, dignity and wellbeing while respecting personal routines and preferences.
The service supports older people and adults with a variety of care needs, providing reliable assistance that can change as circumstances evolve. Families are involved in care planning where appropriate to ensure support reflects the individual's wishes.
Devon & Cornwall Care Services employs caring, professional staff who are carefully recruited, DBS checked and trained to deliver safe, high-quality care. Team members complete the Care Certificate or hold recognised health and social care qualifications, with ongoing training to maintain professional standards.
Working closely with families and other health and social care professionals, the team aims to provide consistent, compassionate support that enables people to continue living safely and confidently at home. We are given a weekly schedule showing which carer will attend and the time. We have used DACCs for over 18mths, 99.9% of visits are on time, the carer has only been late on a couple of occasions but we have always been contacted to advise that they are running late. DACCs attend between 1 and 4...
We are given a weekly schedule showing which carer will attend and the time. We have used DACCs for over 18mths, 99.9% of visits are on time, the carer has only been late on a couple of occasions but we have always been contacted to advise that they are running late. DACCs attend between 1 and 4 times a day (depending on day of the week) but provide additional visits at short notice if needed. The carers undertake food prep, personal care (washing, dressing etc) and prompt Mum to take her medication. They treat Mum with dignity, respect and kindness and have a brief chat with her every time they visit.

Very happy with the carers that come to mum's home on a Friday and Saturday evening. Also the staff in the office are easy to deal with. Queries are answered promptly. I would have no hesitation to recommend DCCS.

On occasion there has been times of higher turnover of staff , which mum finds difficult but this has been very settled recently and I understand it is the nature of the work.

My Mum has been having care now for nearly 2 years. This care company is amazing and gives wonderful support for my mum who has Alzheimer's. The carers are so kind, patient, and gentle with her every single day. They treat her with real dignity and love. The management team are also a huge support to me, always listening, answering my worries, and giving me great peace of mind. I trust them completely and am so grateful for all their help. On top of this amazing care, their prices are much more affordable than other companies I originally looked at. I am so thankful for their help and highly recommend them to any family.

Samantha has been with DACCS for 19 years and has managed the company alongside her mother Pauline for the past 6 years. She holds NVQ Level 3 & 4 qualifications in Health and Social Care, and has achieved her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Registered Managers Award).
