Two days into care and things have not gone well. My mum is 81 years old and has recently been discharged from hospital having spent over nine weeks inpatient following a fractured hip. Previous carers were great and Mum gradually became comfortable with the ladies coming into her house. Two days into
new carers:-
1. Sent a man to wash and dress mum without checking if she would be ok with that.
2. Late shows which can happen but no contact to inform of delay and when they are likely to arrive.
3. Most alarming, Saturday dinner time - no show!
Management/Leadership - poor. Email sent - no response. Telephone contact - initially ok but then stroppy. Does not appear to be a very organised outfit.
Care staff - lady attending Mum yesterday morning was nice and pleasant.
