Crossroads were a Godsend for myself in the midst of caring for my elderly mother as she had Alzheimers. The carers were supportive, empathetic, understanding, professional & were adaptable to the changing care needs as Mum progressed with the disease. They were an extension of our family, especially during the challenging & difficult times that came along with caring for someone with Dementia. They had regular set times of the day, to give me respite care, arrived on time, they were at hand on occasions when I needed care for my mother so I could attend an event or be somewhere for an appointment. Mum's Dementia had reverted her back to her Mother Tongue (Italian) the carers would often use Google Translate when mum spoke, they would try to understand her & be compassionate to her needs. A high standard of care with regular reviews to ensure any changes were noted and care needs met. Mum just enjoyed sitting watching TV & a biscuit with the carers, she was happy! Thank You!

This amazing service gave my Father the chance to in effect down tools and step back from being Mums 24 HR a day carer
Friendly helpful "sitters" who Dad started to look forward to their arrival
For the few months we used this service I can honestly say we've been nothing but very impressed.

Would highly recommend, (as I already have done) to others

I have two sitters a week for my husband who is diagnosed with dementia & epilepsy. He also has mobility difficulties & uses a wheelchair. The service is organised efficiently & I am always notified if there has to be a change in sitter. The two regular sitters are very reliable, have built up a good rapport with Keith and he enjoys their company. It is an invaluable service which enables me to take a break from caring.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're so pleased to hear Keith enjoys the company of his support workers and that the service gives you valuable time to rest. Your kind words mean a lot to us. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's ever anything more we can do to support you and Keith.

What a pleasure it has been to receive support for my mother-in-law and us from Crossroads. The last 2 years would have been hard without the fantastic support workers and the management team. Thoroughly professional, reliable, caring and punctual (as you would expect) the staff go the extra mile whether it's helping with personal care, giving respite visits or providing activities and fun at the day centre. Nothing is too much trouble for the support workers and management team. I would thoroughly recommend them to any new carers looking desperately for support.

Crossroads has been a life saver for me and my children. My husband has been attending for around six weeks. He is very happy attending and enjoys being with everyone. For me, his toileting is such a big issue at home, fortunately not at Crossroads. He is well looked after and his time spent there is so creative with all the activities. At home, he spends most of his time watching daytime TV or sleeping. I cannot express my appreciation enough of this wonderful service, which allows me respite. Thank you.

I cannot fault the care and support I have received from Crossroads. I recently encountered a problem with funding for my dad’s care. The staff went over and beyond to help me, recognising how stressful the situation was for me and being very supportive.
Everyone I spoke with was kind, understanding and knowledgeable. The care was sorted out and provided a seamless transition for Dad, which was the important thing.
The carers who visit Dad have become an integral part of his support and we couldn’t manage without them. I always receive clear details of visits or changes well in advance.

Extremely happy with this care provider. Well done.

Our first experience with a carer was all new to my wife and I, so we were surprised at what we received - in the nicest possible way. Having said that, the standard has only got better as the various carers have got to know us and we them. Our present two carers - on separate days - are excellent company for my wife, leaving me free to do other things. All in all a very satisfactory arrangement. Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback. It's wonderful to hear that your first experience with a carer was a positive surprise and that the standard has improved over time. I am so fortunate to have the care and security of being looked after by Crossroads carers. Crossroads provides me with five hours of 'time out' from being the sole carer of my husband each week. The time is little but it is time that I have become so grateful for. Some space to relax and simply think about myself.
