Overall, we are happy with service provided, staff are in the main helpful and pleasant. Management and office support are accommodating wherever possible. Only slight personal gripe is limitation of app access.

My wife has been with Orchard Homecare for the past 2 years or so. Initially she had one carer per visit (morning and evening) but now needs two per visit. Orchard have been involved with the changes throughout. The staff at the office have been available to help when needed and have been professional in there responses to requests from ourselves. They have also arranged for visits from the Social Worker and Occupational Therapy as required. The carers who have visited have always been patient and thorough with the care given. They turn up on time (a few minutes either way of the set times) are dressed appropriately and carry out the duties required with the minimum of fuss. My wife feels safe and secure in their care which is a great help to me. Like all care companies they have had staffing problems from time to time but have managed to keep their service to us going under pressure with a cheery attitude.

The Carers of the 'one to one' care provided by Orchard could not be faulted. I witnessed the care given to my husband during the last 8 weeks of his life and was tremendously grateful to them. They went way above what was expected of them, keeping my husband really comfortable and safe. They had friendly chats with him about his life and family and showed a real interest in him as a person not just a client. I will be forever grateful to them and will never forget what they did for him.

Reply from Charlotte Kennedy, Registered Manager at Orchard Home Care Services Ltd

I am so pleased Orchard Home Care took over my dad's care. My dad has Parkinsons and needs supervised medication and at the moment catheter care. For this he has four visits a day. Most importantly my dad is pleased with the care he has and has a good relationship with his carers. It is a small team whuch is good as he has got to know them. They have been on it with timings which is important for his medication.
They keep me informed and will call or message if anything specific comes up. They always seem to have his best interests at the center of care they provide. They have picked up medication when its late and contacted the GP or 111 services when needed.
The service seems well joined up with good communication between the carers and the office.
A family friend commented yesterday they can hear a change in his voice for the better since Orchard Home Care have been in place. He can stay in his home and not be isolated.

Thank to all the team.

I have good carers that come in. I do find few carers dont like doing my call due to be being out the area they work in. but the small handful of carers I do have do everything that's asked they sit and chat help prepare food clean etc and are lovely with my animals and family the office staff are ok had ups and downs with some of them some times when you ask for something it's not delivered to the correct person in the office or gets ignored i prefer to have conversations via email or message so I know it's delivered and correct. ( apart from this the carers you may have are lovely down to earth will be happy to help you with anything and take time in what they do for this fact I would highly recommend )
