Overall some of the carers are okay were some are just lazy. As a fact at the moment the two carers that come in the morning sit in there car for ten minutes playing on there phones. They come in but almost sure there not even washing my mum. She smells down below and her hair needs washing as she's itching. Also on occasions been left in the same underwear. Some of the other carers are really good depends who comes. On occasions there in and out in ten minutes and less. Yet again this morning she's not been washed and her head is itching. This isn't personal care this is neglect.
I'm sorry that you felt unable to talk to us about your concerns prior to this review. One of our supervisors has now been to see you this week to discuss your concerns, which we are now investigating. A clients care plan & tasks are on an app on the carers phone, which the carers need to check...
Firstly, as a carer for my husband. I retain a carer on a once-a-week basis for 1 hour in order to keep the connection open, so to speak.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It was a privilege to look after your husband and we are so pleased that you were so happy with our service that you continued with our visits once a week.
Our family were going to change the care team but we realise that the grass is not always greener on the other side and things could get much worse. My mother likes a set routine and familiarity so changing carers could be detrimental.
After discussion with Choice Care managers
We have increased my mother's care hours which seems to have sorted issues out.
It gives carers more time to do their jobs properly and spend some time talking to my mother. She is much happier as she now has a small bank of carers looking after her and she actually looks forward to their visits and getting to know them better.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback. We are truly pleased that previous concerns have been worked through and addressed resulting in a positive outcome. It means a great deal that our team are taking time to connect with mum in a meaningful way. After recent discussions we are committed to making improvements, your trust and support are deeply appreciated.
From November 2024 to March 2025 . Choice Care cared for my husband. Every carer treated him like a family member . They could not do enough for him . Making sure he was comfortable before they left .We could not have wished for better support and care .
Thank you so much for your kind words, it means the world to us to hear that your husband felt like part of the family because this is exactly how we hope every person in our care feels. We are truly honoured to have been part of his journey and knowing that you felt he was supported and well cared...
Choice Care office staff are terrible, they tried to put my brother to bed 7:45pm. He is in a wheelchair and 50+ years old and feels like they are bullying him. New staff all the time and some only last a week. I have had to get cameras in the home because you do not know who's coming and some of the new staff look like they have been sent by the job centre and do not want to do the job. He is stuck with them as he can not afford to go elsewhere. So social services left us with this mess.
Whilst we are saddened to read your feedback we thank you for sharing your concerns, we take all feedback seriously and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care. Please rest assured that all our staff undergo a rigorous recruitment process and Induction training to ensure they...
I have had Choice Care since about September, they are great for me. Keeps my independence and dignity. They are helpful, I have three children with additional needs, they help with my bedding too. Someone is available to speak to when needed, thank you so much.
Thank you for your positive words. We strive to ensure the best care is delivered to all of our service users and ensure there is always somebody available at the end of the phone to discuss anything with.
We, as a family have recently taken time, money, and not to mention severe emotional hardship with making the hard decision to rehabilitate mum for sleeping and eating issues, which took 6 weeks and a lot of tears for her to be able to sleep at night and remain awake during the day.
This carer is still employed by yourselves and is a liability to your company.
You should do the right thing for your company and your clients, and remove this 'liability' rather than slap their hands again.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention and lovely to speak to you yesterday, as I assured you this is not the practice that we strive to deliver. I can assure you that this matter has been dealt with accordingly following our policies and procedures. As the new manager of Choice Care, I will ensure that only the best care is being delivered via the competent carers that we employ.
Without such support, Mum would be isolated and alone.
I cannot fault the care she receives and am extremely grateful.
Wonderful feedback, thank you for your kind words. We aim to provide the highest quality of care to all of our service users and any feedback we receive from service users and their families or loved ones are valued and appreciated.
Some good experience. The ladies, in most instances, do what is asked of them. Sometimes we have communication difficulties.
Some carers can't get out of the house fast enough. Some can't boil an egg. I tell them how to do it. The carers that come vary in their devotion to the job. Also, the times they come is always changing, e.g. my breakfast can be 7:45 am, 8 am or 8:30 am and the same as tea time, it could be 4 pm - 4:30 pm or 5 pm. This in my experience isn't good.
Not a shower for six months, only a bed bath, awaiting assessment.
In general, the carers are very helpful and nearly always ask if there is anything else they can do.
After using this service for 5 months I am very satisfied with the care provided. Most of the carers are very helpful and cheerful and willing to help in any way.
The visiting carers have been brilliant, very caring and excellent with my son. The only problem that has ever occurred was when I had a constant change of carers and my 2-year-old son became distressed. They addressed this and I now have one regular carer.
The main carers you presently assigned to me being all are giving me the best care I could have asked for. All being that my legs have never looked or felt better in a very long time. I would like to say especially that my morning carer makes my day as she comes in so full of life and makes you feel that she really does care for the person . She is not shy and comes across as a very open minded person. The other girls are almost the same as her except I see her first thing everyday she is on duty. THANK YOU KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
