Of course, their focus is on the clients themselves, but often the issue is not with the client but with the difficulties that exist when those closest to them live a distance away and have to manage the difficulties balancing family and professional lives with supporting a family member, usually a parent. Choice Care’s structure and experience means they can be that link between managing a persons care and the family.
Their clients include those with physical difficulties, sensory impairment, dementia, and those approaching the end of life. They might include people whom have conditions such as MS, a stroke, arthritis etc. They provide general in-depth personal care and support, as well as post-hospital support, medication management, end of life care, complex care, autism & children.
The team also take non-invasive observations in line with the NHS RESTORE2 programme including heart rate, pulse, blood oxygen levels, blood pressure etc to help determine if something is happening. This early detection of an issue leads to quicker referral to health professionals, early intervention, and better outcomes for clients.
Carers complete all regulatory training supplemented by additional specialist training, for example in end of life care, sensory impairment, Parkinson’s, and are assigned work on the basis of the best interests of the client. They ensure that a person's care is delivered with reliability, consistently but with enough flexibility to be able to respond to a person's needs.

My mum started using Choice Care in December 2025. My mum really likes that she has families carers and they connect well with my mum. In March 2026 my mum moved to a supported living building and has been able to keep Choice Care, better still she has retained her families carers. When I have been at the same time the carers are polite and engaging. Me and my sister have the app which helps us know how our mum has been on the days we don't visit. The office team will contact me as they know it confuses my mum and she would rather me and my sister deal with these things.

Overall some of the carers are okay were some are just lazy. As a fact at the moment the two carers that come in the morning sit in there car for ten minutes playing on there phones. They come in but almost sure there not even washing my mum. She smells down below and her hair needs washing as...

They come in but almost sure there not even washing my mum. She smells down below and her hair needs washing as she's itching. Also on occasions been left in the same underwear. Some of the other carers are really good depends who comes. On occasions there in and out in ten minutes and less. Yet again this morning she's not been washed and her head is itching. This isn't personal care this is neglect.

I'm sorry that you felt unable to talk to us about your concerns prior to this review. One of our supervisors has now been to see you this week to discuss your concerns, which we are now investigating. A clients care plan & tasks are on an app on the carers phone, which the carers need to check before starting the visit. Unfortunately this is often mistaken for the carers playing on their phones. As the carers log in & out of each visit, we are also checking all of those log in & log out times to make sure that your mother is having the commissioned time and also that all the tasks that we have been commissioned to do are being done by all carers. We have agreed to update you when we have finished investigating your concerns.

My mother has had carers for over 12 months now and we have had some issues which hopefully have now been resolved. Our family were going to change the care team but we realise that the grass is not always greener on the other side and things could get much worse. My mother likes a set routine and familiarity so changing carers could be detrimental. After discussion with Choice Care managers We have increased my mother's care hours which seems to have sorted issues out.
It gives carers more time to do their jobs properly and spend some time talking to my mother. She is much happier as she now has a small bank of carers looking after her and she actually looks forward to their visits and getting to know them better.

Choice Care office staff are terrible, they tried to put my brother to bed 7:45pm. He is in a wheelchair and 50+ years old and feels like they are bullying him. New staff all the time and some only last a week. I have had to get cameras in the home because you do not know who's coming and some of the new staff look like they have been sent by the job centre and do not want to do the job. He is stuck with them as he can not afford to go elsewhere. So social services left us with this mess.

I have had Choice Care since about September, they are great for me. Keeps my independence and dignity. They are helpful, I have three children with additional needs, they help with my bedding too. Someone is available to speak to when needed, thank you so much.

Not for the first time has my mother been given the wrong medication by the same carer. This happened again yesterday, 31.1.23, when mum was administered her night-time medication (which includes sleep aids) as the morning medication. How hard can it be to administer medications that are blister packed and clearly marked for the time of day? We, as a family have recently taken time, money, and not to mention severe emotional hardship with making the hard decision to rehabilitate mum for sleeping and eating issues, which took 6 weeks and a lot of tears for her to be able to sleep at night and remain awake during the day. This carer is still employed by yourselves and is a liability to your company.
You should do the right thing for your company and your clients, and remove this 'liability' rather than slap their hands again.

Mum has excellent carers. Choice Care has provided a regular group of carers, all understand Mum's needs and ensure she is always well looked after and safe. Without such support, Mum would be isolated and alone.
I cannot fault the care she receives and am extremely grateful.

The visiting carers have been brilliant, very caring and excellent with my son. The only problem that has ever occurred was when I had a constant change of carers and my 2-year-old son became distressed. They addressed this and I now have one regular carer.
