I really cannot fault the care given to my wife under very trying circumstances. She is physically disabled and cannot stand unaided and has dementia. My wife is 88 soon and I am 94 years of age.

The team are extremely friendly, approachable, reliable, trustworthy, adaptable and supportive. My parents were a little resistant at first but things are starting to settle and they are coming to terms with the fact that they need a little help/support. They currently receive a small package of support
- their choice - but I feel reassured that Star Care will contact me if they have any worries or concerns. My mother is in and out of hospital - which can be a bit tricky for Star Care to accommodate - this is mainly due to hospital discharge but they do their best and often go that extra mile. Mum was over the moon that some of the carers had planned to visit her whilst in hospital. Brilliant job and well done Star Care.

Excellent service, friendly staff nothing too much trouble for the ladies attending my mother. She looks forward to their visits and having a chat, bit apprehensive to start but mum has settled into a routine and is soldiering on well.

Cannot fault their care and attitude to my parents. They go above and beyond the call of duty and have become more like friends to my parents than careers.
They treat with dignity and a positively cheerful attitude.
They have battled to get to my parents in the recent dreadful snowy conditions.
I
have complete peace of mind knowing my parents are in the capable hands of Star Care.
They always inform me of any changes in my parents' health or home situation.
Well done and thank you Star Care for a wonderful service you should be proud of.

We rate most services according to how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led they are, using four levels:
Outstanding - the service is performing exceptionally well.
Good - the service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
Requires improvement - the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
Inadequate - the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
No rating/under appeal/rating suspended - there are some services which we can't rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Suspended ratings are being reviewed by us and will be published soon.
Ticks and crosses
We don't rate every type of service. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
There's no need for the service to take further action. If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service.
The service must make improvements.
At least one standard in this area was not being met when we inspected the service and we have taken enforcement action.
