The carers are very caring and friendly. They are good home helpers.
Thank you for your kind remarks, we hope to continue to support you staying at your home.
Bluebird is providing consistently excellent care for my wife. The carers are always on time, efficient, cheerful and friendly. They are making a big difference to the quality of life for both my wife and myself.
Thank you for your kind remarks, we always take pride in ensuring that our care assistants are making a difference to one's care needs.
My experience with Bluebird Care Southampton has been that they are all efficient, professional. The carers have been extremely good with my husband giving him kindness and reassurance when dealing with his personal care.
Thank you for your kind remarks. We are glad to have made it easier for you to look after your husband.
Management is very helpful if I have problems. Carers are very pleasant, friendly, well trained and professional. Always ask if there is anything else they can help with e.g putting up and down the heavy ironing board or opening and shutting high windows or folding sheets.
It is always great to hear that our teams do make a difference in people’s lives. We thank you for your kind feedback.
Bluebird Care have been excellent in every respect. They are willing to work with our live-in carer and to advise on training. Their carers are lovely and timekeeping is good. They are not fazed by situations they need to deal with. I am very grateful to them.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We always endeavour to make a difference.
The standard of care for my mum after some initial setting in and stabilisation has been consistently good. Handovers are on the whole detailed and clear between each carer. There is possibly room for better communication between the office and the carer sometimes.
We have noted your comments and will improve with that communication. As you are aware, sometimes unforeseen circumstances at the last minute, have caused problems to ensure that your mother and sister get the right personality match to live with them.
Bluebird staff has been visiting my stepmother for the past year. We appreciate that the aim of the support is to maintain her independence. We understand that she is fiercely independent and can be offhand and awkward, insisting she can manage without help. However, it is clear that this is not the case, and whenever we visit there is usually a large backlog of routine household tasks that have not been done, particularly laundry and food hygiene. There is one carer in particular who appears to be accepted by my stepmother, but in general, we are concerned at the number of different carers that come, given that she has a diagnosis of moderate Alzheimer's, so this contributes to her lack of cooperation. As we live 600 miles away, we are dependent on prompt feedback of information. Whilst we are able to access care notes through the Openpass system we feel communication between supervisor, carers, and family on major issues needs to be much better.
I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the communication between the family and the supervisors. We will address this with the team immediately. Unfortunately, we live in a world where we have part-time, and fulltime workers and different work availabilities. As a care provider, we actually...
Staff are really attentive and pleasant, my father won’t have a bad word said about the staff. If I had an issue it’s that the food etc is not rotated and newer packs of food are opened when there is already one open on the odd occasion.
Thank you for your feedback. I will raise this with the care manager as our carers are trained to dispose of out of date food and avoid food poisoning. We will see whether we can remedy this with the introduction of food labels.
The service generally works very well with the staff having to cope with an elderly person who can be charming but is equally likely to be very challenging, depending on the day! A number of the staff regularly go well beyond what might reasonably be expected from the service but all provide a good level of service which meets expectations. The COVID-19 pandemic excepted, the social gatherings for clients which the company puts on from time to time go down extremely well. Overall I would be happy to recommend Bluebird.
Thank you for your honest review. We hope to continue our high service standards even in peak times of COVID.
Following my wife's discharge from hospital we had an excellent live in carer for a fortnight and then twice daily care, that re-established my wife's routine at home. I helped her with her every daycare. Carers were very pleasant in manner and conscientious.
My terminally ill friend had superb care throughout from well-trained carers who were sensitive to her needs and acted as advocates for her with healthcare professionals.
