We have used Helping Hands Wokingham to care for my wife Elizabeth on two separate occasions in 2024 and 2025, when a private carer we had was away on holiday in her home in the Phiippines .This has worked brilliantly on both occasions and I have been so grateful for their carers who have all been tremendous. Not only have we had superb carers but the officers Stuart, the manager, Emma and Monika have been so kind, helpful and efficient. First class has been the word much used of this particular service and this applies to all our helpers and advisers in Wolingham. Now I too need a little care in the sesse of help with preparing a daily smoothie and the occasional soup and this has been fulfilled very willingly. Liz and I wnat to thank you all in Wokingham for your care in the past. Since our private carer is no longer availiable, we have set on this care from Helping Hands on a six day basis for, we hope, as long as we need them (we are both in our early 90s!). Thank you all. Jim K.
Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that our Wokingham team has been able to support both you and Elizabeth so well across your visits in 2024 and 2025. It is lovely to know that the carers have been tremendous and that Stuart, Emma and Monika have...
Helping hands are the best wake-up call you could wish for, good timing with a warm and friendly smile. A one hour early visit each day of the week supporting mum with getting ready for the day. Our wonderful regular carer and occasional carers have been with us since February 2025 and have become an extended member of the family. Helping hands are very experienced and knowledgeable which enables any support changes to flow seamlessly. Supporting any member of your family is an emotional time and the Helping Hands visits also allow me to take a break. We are managing our change of life circumstances well because we have the support of the Helping Hands. Thank you.

I have been receiving home care for more than two years and have received nothing but what I can call first class service. My needs have increased to daily in the course of this year and I have been provided with a variety of helpers, all of whom have been absolute first class. What is important I find is to recognise that the organisation is 100% client focused and is open to dialogue, alterations in schedules and will do everything possible to ensure that the first class attention continues whatever the circumstances. I have nothing but the highest praise for the organisation and its helpers.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really do appreciate it.

Helping Hands Wokingham provided essential care after my stay in hospital. My carer provided cleaning, shopping services and would take me to the pharmacy for medications when required. She continued to support me after my recovery from illness and is still provding good company and friendship. I can without reservations highly recommend Helping Hands.

The carers who have visited my Mother have established a strong bond forged from when they cared for my Father. They have been most supportive, sympathetic and compassionate in a very difficult period for our family and we remain very grateful for all their assistance.

Helping Hands Wokingham have been very supportive of my Mother who is 95yrs and in early stages of dementia
All the carers have been excellent and very empathetic to my Mother's needs.
We have been trying to find the right level/mixture of support to give both practical help with meals and also to work around her changing requirements regarding external social interactions...and hence altered requests for support.
As a result our requirements from HH have changed many times over the last 3 months and we have been very impressed with the flexibility HH have provided.
Highly Recommended

A carer was with my husband all the time looking after him, cooking his meals, taking him to see others, selecting activities that he was interested in as well as giving the physical care that he needs. I couldn't believe how easy it was to make the arrangements . The two carers were wonderful and so kind.
Two particular staff members looked after my Father and my Mother in law when my wife and I were away for 5 days. They came in for 1 hour every day and made sure they were both OK.
We were very pleased with the friendly helpful members of the team and have booked them again for when we are away later in the year. This gives us peace of mind knowing they will be well looked after in our absence.
Helping Hands have been support my Dad (and me!!!) since May 2025.. Initially the support was for one day a week with the carer, she is fantastic!! Not long after, my Dad was having a knee replacement and needed some extra support. They was able to arrange this very quickly. I have been amazed with the flexibility and ability to make short notice changes. I also have to mention a member of staff in the office, always replies to emails quickly and helped out when I had problems accessing the portal. Thank you all very much for what you have done.
