A particular member of staff at Helping Hands was outstanding in organising the care for my elderly father. He was readily available for me to discuss with him and any concerns that I had. I cannot thank him enough.

We were putting in place care at home for our mother and although circumstances changed quite quickly our experience of Helping Hands was excellent. The manager was very empathetic, kind and understanding dealing with our mother, and the carers were lovely and professional and attentive. They were able
to put in place a care package very promptly and to suit the hours we wanted.

The carers that my mum has been matched with have provided an excellent service.
This is especially aimed at her main carer, who truly understands mum and always provide extra care, by going over and beyond the call of duty.
She is able to get the best out of mum and thinks of innovative ways to get
her to communicate. This is also reflected in the meals she provides and suggestions like styling mums hair for Easter as her family were coming to visit
Her carer is a gem and mum always looks forward to her visiting and so do the family.

My regular carer is friendly and kind.
Nothing is too much trouble and she does the housework that I now find difficult.
My family are reassured that someone is with me every day for a short visit to check on my wellbeing.

One of the carers, who came to sit with my husband who has dementia, was excellent. She was calm and caring. My husband trusted her. I went out and left them alone in the house. When I came home her and my husband were watching TV and drinking coffee. All was well. I would have used Helping Hands much
more, but my husband was taken into a nursing home.

My cousin was assessed by one of the carers of Helping Hands Wimbledon. He took a great deal of time and effort in matching my cousin with a domiciliary carer. We were very happy with the commitment and care shown by the carer to my cousin - and they both got on well. Thank you.

We have used the Wimbledon office of Helping Hands for over six months and are very impressed by the team in the branch office and the carers they send to help my disabled husband. We get efficient notification of the rota for the week ahead and good continuity from the carers. We enjoy working with
this agency and find their help invaluable.

The care that the staff gave to my sister was second to none, each carer was really empathetic with dementia, not just to my sister but to the family. The staff in the branch in Wimbledon would always help when we needed to change times and cancellations at a moments notice. Overall a great care team.

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

Job Title: Branch Care Manager

I‘ve worked in the care sector for nearly 20 years, beginning as a carer in a nursing home
at 18. I joined Helping Hands because of its extensive network, which provides invaluable
support. I‘m passionate about delivering person-centred care, and I’m committed to
bringing this approach to the team in Wimbledon. Outside of work, I enjoy walking with my
three dogs, travelling around the UK with my partner Dan, and tending to my veggie patch.
