Helping Hands Home Care (Harrow)

One of the carers who regularly visited us stood out for her warmth, patience and the way she treated my partner with dignity and a smile. She always communicated clearly with me and made our mornings feel easier. Her leaving is a real sadness for us, as she made such a positive impact. She will be sorely missed.

From the moment Stewart left hospital after his fall, the carers provided exceptional support and compassion right through to the end of his life. Knowing he required 24/7 care was overwhelming at first, but the team immediately stepped in and made the transition as smooth as possible.

They came into the house and completely transformed it. What could have easily felt clinical or like a hospital environment instead became a warm, welcoming home again. Everything was organised properly, safely, and thoughtfully, giving both Stewart and the family real comfort and peace of mind.

A special mention must go to Anhar, the care manager, who was outstanding throughout. She was always available to take calls, answer questions, and monitor Stewart's wellbeing closely. Communication was constant, and there was always somebody there to check in or offer reassurance whenever needed. As Stewart's condition changed over time, the team carried out regular reviews and adapted the care plan.

I am happy with the service I receive, especially working with 1 or 2 carers at a time. Also, ease with contacting the office is easy. The carers are always punctual, polite, caring and helpful in establishing easy relationships with me.

The members of Helping Hands, who came to me were efficient and friendly. They were a great help to me especially after my knee operation when it was difficult to do things for myself. I was happy to see them arriving here.

During summer 2022 four of us caught Covid and were extremely grateful for the wonderful care we received from the staff during that period.
