Amazing care we are very happy with how my sister in law has been cared for, very professional the staff are lovely and really take care of her needs, nothing is too much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend the care agency to anyone that needs a loved one looked after.

After finding my self in need of care help for my father, Astar Homecare were able to fulfil the services we required ,they listened to all mine and my fathers concerns, all was taken onboard , a plan put into place, carers were needed 4 visits daily, all carers are very professional and respectful...
After finding my self in need of care help for my father, Astar Homecare were able to fulfil the services we required ,they listened to all mine and my fathers concerns, all was taken onboard , a plan put into place, carers were needed 4 visits daily, all carers are very professional and respectful giving time to sit and listen. After some time it became apparent that 24hour care was needed, again a professional approach to achieve this was actioned very promptly. Many carers are still involved with my father along side the full time carer, which is perfect for him as he has developed a friendship with many of them as change is not easy for him to cope with.
The company has and is always ready to help/listen to any of my concerns , their support and advice has/is invaluable to me as I have never been in this situation I am in now.

As I am still reasonably active, for 93, I dont need too much care but its nice to know that its there when I do need more help and I know the staff and they know me! I find all the carers who come to me very nice girls though some of them I find a bit difficult to understand.

I currently receive 3 daily visits from Astar. My morning visit is usually a very pleasant hour where I am assisted with washing my back and legs but allowed to continue with other tasks commensurate with my abilities. Carers will select clean clothes and place dirty towels/clothes in washing...
I currently receive 3 daily visits from Astar. My morning visit is usually a very pleasant hour where I am assisted with washing my back and legs but allowed to continue with other tasks commensurate with my abilities. Carers will select clean clothes and place dirty towels/clothes in washing machine. I walk to the sitting room and eat breakfast of my choice and enjoy pleasant conversation. My 3/4 hour lunch visit is mainly for my meal, drink and socialising. My 3/4 hour evening visit provides refreshments and toiletries assistance when needed. Carers are always pleasant and helpful, when needed, but allow me to continue to be as self sufficient as I am able to be.
Visits are normally punctual, very friendly, pleasant and helpful. I look forward to them.

My mother has been using Astar Homecare for a few years now and the company has been excellent. She gets on really well with all the girls who make sure she is ok. I feel confident that she is in good hands as I do not live locally.
