My husband suffers from vascular dementia. I was his sole carer until introduced to Goodwood by the County Council. Then my life was made so much easier with cover allocated for several hours each week without which I would have buckled under the strain. The cover was incredibly helpful to my husband too as he enjoyed the company of carers who entertained him, took him out and amused him with music and chat, two things that were so important to him. They treated him with courtesy and respect and this was a happy time. As his illness progressed my husband needed personal care and Goodwood’s carers could persuade him to shower, clean his teeth and shave at least 3 times a week when I found this challenging. After 18 months, I had to introduce my husband to respite holidays of one week which was an anxious time but my husband took to this easily thanks to the experience he had gained with the Goodwood’s carers. I am extremely grateful to Goodwood for their professionalism and dedication.

Goodwood Homecare provided outstanding care for my husband right up until his final breath. all members of staff were cheerful, polite, respectful and always treated him with dignity. My husband's needs were complex. Each carer was competent and reliable. It's a little late but - Thank you.
