Dales carers look after mum 4x a day, and will go the extra mile to make sure she feels comfortable and listened to, this is really important as she ages and becomes more confused due to her Alzheimer's. For instance they will sometimes read her bible or christian book before she settles for the night. This helps her to settle for the night and feel reassured.
In a morning two carers now wake her gently to encourage her to get up, as this was becoming more of a challenge due to her mobility issues which are worse in a morning. This ensures that she is safe as they transfer her from her bed in a morning.
Recently the carers have been approved to give her medication which she was forgetting to take due to her memory loss. This has been successful and we can see an improvement with her having her medication regularly.
Access to daily recording is important to me as is regular communication too.

Multi agency working will be even more crucial as mums health deteriorates due to age

The team at dales care have been absolutely fantastic. The last 12 months have been very challenging as a family. Michelle, Vikki and the team of fabulous carers have worked tirelessly and compassionately to provide the level of support that my parents requested. Often going above and beyond what I expected a care team to do, it became obvious that the clients needs are always at the centre of their care.
I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone who is looking for extra care at home.
