Norwyn Community Services based in Kent offers domiciliary-home care/ Live in care/ supported living services.

The care team aim to offer good support so you or your loved one can remain independent as much as possible. Based on best practice, care and support plans are tailored to meet individual care needs.

They provide support to meet all personal care requirements from help with washing, bathing, shower, dressing, getting in and out of bed, assistance with toileting, assistance with medication, meal preparation, fluid intake, companionship, escorting on trips, accompanying to appointments, sleep service, waking night, respite care, live in care service, and supported living with accommodation.

All staff have enhanced DBS checks. They receive ongoing training and supervision so all your care needs can be met.

All the carers have been lovely, caring & respectful towards mum.
The staff that I have spoken to on the phone for various reasons have been friendly and understanding.
Will continue to use their services and possibly more so as mums needs change,

We have been using this service for nearly a year. All of the carers we have had have been kind and caring. They are all very reliable and patient with my husband who is suffering with dementia. Everyone we have had contact with has been very helpful - we had to increase our care load but this wasn't
a problem and put into place quickly. Thank you very much.

For a first time user Mum had reservations but all the carers put her at ease. They have all been very cheerful and friendly nothing has been to much trouble. On the occasions I hve met them they have been very friendly and professional. I find it very helpful that they remind me when supplies get low
and what to get as I am not used to this type of shopping.

The carer's are cheery, well mannered, friendly and get on wtih there job. My father often has a laugh with them. It's a very expensive service.

All of the care staff that have been to are for him have been smart and tidy and very friendly and always have a laugh and joke with him, which he enjoys and makes him feel better. They are very careful and respectful of his privacy, which we appreciate very much. They always leave him comfortable in

Despite telling the main office that the care package had changed norwyn still kept sending a carer to my aunt who kept telling her to go away. Carers turning up early and late with no consistency even calling to a different address. Final straw today the 20th June 25 was the carer was asked to leave
but refused to leave.
No management available to talk to. Shocking.

We sincerely apologise for this situation. Our Carers will always respect instructions to leave when requested. When care is no longer needed our service usually ends but sometimes care cannot be ended without authorisation from the local authority.

I would like to thank the carers that came to care for my dad who passed away on 11th February. They were always kind, calm and gentle with dad whilst dealing with his needs. We are very grateful for the care that was given.

Regrettably, my mother has not had a good experience overall with the care provided. The main issue has always been timekeeping - regularly several hours late, which for a bedridden diabetic is not acceptable. Staff pouring faecal waste in the kitchen sink and placing yellow bags outside but not in
the yellow bin is unacceptable. Laughing staff when inappropriate. A concerned email was sent over 3 working days ago, but no acknowledgement has been received.
We are leaving this agency.

Thank you for the feedback. There were theething problems as this was a new client. Timing was an issue to start with but this improved with carers sticking to leeway times incase of delays. We investigated the issue, carers did not pour any faecal water down the sink and verbal feedback given to daughter. Our carers reported some forms of abuse, verbal and physical, which impacted on how they deliver care at times. As we could not meet required care needs, we handed in our notice.

Staff attended my father's home today where his wife is bedridden and when my father asked them if he should get the hoist to help lift her back into bed they refused and said he should call an ambulance. Frustrated by their lack of concern and compassion he ask them to leave. They found this funny
and laughing on the way out left the house. We recognise their staff do not have much time and probably get paid minimum wage. But why be in a job like this if you have no compassion and are happy to leave two senior people in a condition you would not leave an animal in.

Good service, early start for personal care, my mother is happy with the caring and friendly service. They wash and dress her, and help supervise their breakfast and medication taking. A daily record is maintained. They are very helpful and polite and are mostly on time each morning.

Mum needed the help of carers during the last months of her life. Norwyn provided this for her with dignity and kindness. Mum was a quiet and gentle lady and was always treated with respect and gentleness by the friendly staff who cared for her. The office staff were helpful and approachable. They were
flexible when it came to making any changes with our arrangments so that we always felt that Mum's needs were treated as their priority. I would definitely recommend Norwyn.

I needed urgent care the same day for my elderly mother and Norwyn were able to respond immediately. They came and did an assessment within a few hours and we managed to get an overnight carer for that night and then for the following week. They were excellent, always on time and looked after my mum's
needs.
