The Brighter Days team have supported my daughter and her three housemates to live independently for over nine years. Turnover of staff is minimal - they have mostly had the same team for the nine years. The team are kind, empathetic, understand the housemates very well and support them in all aspects of their lives. They are very person-centred - each housemate participates in different activities according to their own likes and dislikes, volunteering opportunities, social opportunities, although they often choose to do things together. The housemates regard their house as their home - visiting their parent's houses is just that - visiting and they all look forward to returning to their own home and seeing the Brighter Days team again. It's my belief that Brighter Days is the model other care providers should aspire to be.
