Our live in carer has worked out extremely well: she gets on well with my husband, and myself. has a good sense of humour, and keeps the house cleaner than it's ever been! She is also sensitive to what is going on around her, and quickly absents herself when we have visitors. She treats my husband with sensitivity and dignity and is very patient with him.
Good communication and bluebird took special care of my mums needs.
They were attentive and responsive.
I was able to contact them easily and quickly.
Dear Anne Rachel,
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We are really pleased to hear that you were happy with the care and support provided to your mum. It means a lot to us that you felt listened to and that our team was responsive...
They always make sure i am made aware of any incidents and if i am unable to deal they will.e.g calling doctors ,hair cuts etc.
I feel communication is vital with keeping mum in her own home and what is provided by the team is excellent.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that our team's care and communication have made a positive difference for your mum. It truly means a lot to us.
What a lovely lot of carers who always go the extra mile. Easy to talk to and easy to get hold of them available 24/7. Always treated with dignity no matter what. Do care, shopping, companionship and trips out.
They were all cheerful, helpful and offered to do any job within reason, also able to converse with them on everyday problems and talk about my family who live in Australia and New Zealand.
We have been using the services of Bluebird Care Ferndown since December 2020. During that time we have been extremely satisfied with the standard of care and support provided. The initial provision of our carer was arranged very sympathetically and have always believed that our needs have been foremost in the minds of those administrating the service.
Richard
This care agency is the most caring, supportive and professional I have been with to date. Carers and management staff are always friendly and thoughtful to a fault.
Thank you for your kind words. We're really pleased that you are so happy with your care team.
Bluebird were very helpful in helping arrange for additional care and liaising with social services.
Thank you so much for your review. I'm glad that you find Bluebird Care to be so helpful.
My husband has dementia and is unaware what to do regarding cleanliness. He would not go in the shower for weeks sometimes. I contacted Bluebird about my concerns and have never looked back. They are very kind and treat him with utmost dignity. He is shaving and showering every day now with their help.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so pleased that we were able to help you and your husband.
The office staff are efficient and arrange sitters and shower ladies for us. The carers are efficient, kind and caring carrying out their duties with a sense of humour and a smile.
I am delighted you are happy with the team that helps you out and I am glad they do it with a smile and sense of humour. Speak soon, Richard.
My experience is excellent with your lovely carers. The only thing I would like is a 7 am start every morning (as it is not possible for me to get out of bed unassisted to 'spend a penny') although I realise this is sometimes difficult to arrange.
The Supervisor has been very patient and understanding of my aunt's requirements and has tried to accommodate her preferences in relation to care times, particular carers etc. The carers themselves are always very helpful and try to do everything they can to allow my aunt to remain living safely and comfortably in her own home.
Two members of staff, in particular, are responsive and super helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They are polite and understanding of the situations that arise and do their best to help.
The majority of carers have been outstanding (a few have gone above and beyond) in the care for my nan and any issues that have arisen have been dealt with quickly.

Nina has been working in the care sector for almost 12 years. She has worked in a variety of sectors including children’s disabilities, domiciliary and care home settings. Nina began her career in the care industry out of a love of looking after people, she has worked with younger people but has found her knowledge and skills to be best suited to working with elderly people within the community.
Nina has continued to develop her knowledge and skills over her 12 years in the industry and is currently working towards completing her Level 5 in health and social care.
When Nina is not at work, she can be found spending time with her partner and father who she also cares for outside of work. She has a keen interest in motorsports and enjoys attending events such as F1 racing, the Goodwood Festival of Speed and track days. Nina lives locally to Ferndown in a home that she has recently bought with her partner and is currently enjoying weekends renovating it.
Jenny began working in care at the young age of 18 after completing her A levels and has not looked back since. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. "I continuously aspire to develop my knowledge and skills and combined with my passion for care, I strive to deliver care that exceeds our customer’s and family’s expectation. In making the decision to join Bluebird Care Mendip, I have found a company that shares my belief and commitment to putting our customers first and delivering care with dignity and respect whilst maintaining a healthy and independent lifestyle in the comfort of their own home."
I joined Bluebird Care in 2016 as a supervisor and have had the good fortune of being promoted within the company.
Previous to joining Bluebird Care, I carried out live-in care for seven years which has given me the experience to be able to understand all aspects of the delivery of care to a customer in their home. I am now looking forward to taking on the role as Training manager for the team, working across our offices, continuing my development within the team.
