Hartley Locums

Hartley Locums have been caring for my mum who lives at home with me and my husband for several years. She has Parkinson's and dementia. The care provided for my mum has been excellent and they have been able to increase the care provided as my mum's health has deteriorated. Mum now has 24 hour live in care which has reduced the pressure on me immensely. The carers are so kind and really engage with mum, providing her with companionship as well. Mum recently fell and broke her hip and on discharge the manager has done everything possible to help, providing additional carers as needed to help with personal care, instructing Occupational Therapists etc. I don't know where I would have been without them.

The carers really actually care (something which in my experience is not always a given!), they support my gran, talk to her, make her laugh and take time just to "be with her" never rushing out of the door, they will do little extras it time allows - (e.g laying pads / PJs out for the night). They always arrive promptly and take the time to ask and genuinely enquire how we, as a family, are given this significant change in our personnel arrangments. A true holistic service - taking care of all our practical/social and emotional needs.
