I urgently needed a live in carer to get my Nan home for her last few days. Cheriton were fantastic and organised our lovely carer to move in the next day. The managers went above and beyond and helped make a difficult time much easier, thank you.

We moved Dad out of a care home after his health started declining quickly. The manager did a video call with me and my two sisters, one of whom lives in Spain, and he really put us at ease. He explained the whole process clearly and we felt confident moving forward. Since having live in care, Dad is eating better, more alert, and even enjoying time in the garden again.

Thank you Carlos for taking the time to share your experience. It was a pleasure to speak with you and your sisters on the video call, and I'm glad the process felt clear. Hearing that your dad is eating better, more alert, and back in the garden means a lot to all of us at Cheriton Homecare.

I found Cheriton Homecare after looking online for live-in care for my mother. The process was straightfoward and communication has been clear throughout. The main carer is absolutely lovely! My mum seems genuinely happy and well looked after, which means a lot to us as a family. I would definately recommend Cheriton to others in a similar situation.

In February, I contacted Cheriton to take over my mum's care after a disappointing experience with another agency. From the very beginning, the manager was straight to the point, and it was clear that my mum's well being was their top priority. Very happy.

After a challenging experience with my mother's previous care provider, we made the switch to Cheriton Homecare, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The transition was seamless, thanks to the manager and the dedicated team in the office. They were extremely professional, attentive, and made sure that everything was in place before the switch was made.
The difference in my mother's care has been noticeable almost immediately. With Cheriton Homecare, she is receiving the attention, compassion, and proper care that she truly deserves. The team goes above and beyond to ensure that protocols are followed, and it's clear that my mother's well-being is their top priority.

I am incredibly grateful for the positive change we've seen since Cheriton took over her care. It's a relief to know that she's in such capable hands, and I would highly recommend Cheriton Homecare to anyone looking for high-quality care for their loved ones.

My mum has been receiving care from Cheriton Homecare Ltd for several months now. We heard about Cheriton through a friend who highly recommended the live in carer service which Cheriton provides. As a family and most importantly mum, we are extremely impressed with the high level of care from mums carer. The carer is attentive, professional but at the same time personable, a lovely relationship has developed between them, based on trust and mutual respect. The carer will support mum where needed but also encourages her to maintain her autonomy as much as possible. My personal experience with Cheriton's admin team and the CEO has been absolutely excellent, they go above and beyond to help, advise and support whenever needed. Always warm, friendly and reassuring. I can't recommend Cheriton Homecare highly enough. After several hospitalizations, my mum has excelled with her live in carer, it's a huge relief to know mum is receiving the care which she deserves, in her own home.

Cheriton Homecare provided excellent respite care. The owner visited our home beforehand and clearly assessed the kind of care and carer we needed. I have been involved with Cheriton Homecare for years with my client with an acquired brain injury. They provide a very professional service with endless patience with my client who has one live-in carer and cover for his leave from within the team at Cheriton. My client is very discerning and they worked hard to find someone who fits in well with his character and to meet his exacting standards following unsuccessful direct employment attempts. The manager is always on hand to discuss any issues which arise (hasten to add not with the carer!) usually in terms of my client's needs or cover requirements.

Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and competent.
They give peace of mind and I know my mum’s needs are met completely.
My mum has developed a real connection and even love of her main carer who she has come to trust and rely upon.
They bring a security to my mum and become not just carers but also a social network.
My mum did not want to go into a care home but wanted to stay in her own home and Cheriton Homecare has enabled this.

I could not speak more highly of this company and the staff they have provided, thank you very much!

We found Cheriton Homecare after having a disaster with a previous care company and only wished we had found them sooner.
They helped Mother stay in her own home and keep her independence. She could be difficult as her dementia progressed but nothing was too much trouble for Cheriton, her carers were kind and compassionate.
She loved seeing the manager and another member of staff who always made a great fuss of her. Our heartfelt thanks go to the carers who cared for her to the end.
We will be eternally grateful to all of the staff at Cheriton, including the office staff who were always on hand and nothing was too much trouble for them.

I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.

Cheriton Homecare is an excellent company which I would highly recommend. They responded very quickly in the beginning when I needed to organise a carer at short notice. They always respond promptly to any queries/requests. They organised and ordered all my aunt's online supermarket deliveries for her, which was a great help. The carers were all very professional and kind. It is thanks to them that my aunt has largely regained her independence so quickly.

Richard

As the Registered Manager and Founder of Cheriton Homecare, my focus is on ensuring that our clients, their families, and our team feel valued and supported. I believe care should enhance quality of life, not just meet basic needs, and I’m committed to upholding that standard in everything we do.

My journey into care started after struggling to find quality support for my own family. I wanted to create a service that prioritised the little things that truly matter to people. With over three decades of experience, beginning as an Army medic, I’ve learned that the heart of great care is making people feel important.

My leadership style is calm and direct, rooted in open communication and honesty. I’m passionate about motivating my team and fostering a supportive environment, offering mentorship and always encouraging personal growth. I’m also proud to have implemented systems that not only meet legal and regulatory standards but keep the focus on clients’ well-being.

Outside of work, I enjoy art, antique furniture, and travel—interests that often spark conversations with clients and staff alike. After a long day, I unwind in my garden, finding peace in nature. I believe that through strong relationships and a clear vision, I can lead Cheriton Homecare in making a meaningful difference.

My approach? Stay true to the values that matter, and always put people first.

Shane Job Title: Assistant Manager Joined: 2017
Shane

As the Assistant Manager at Cheriton Homecare, my role spans various parts of the company, but my primary focus is managing our finances, social media, and online presence, while also being Richard’s second-in-command. I like to stay informed about every aspect of the business and help ensure that our operations run smoothly.

I started at Cheriton creating online content, and over the past eight years, I’ve taken on more responsibilities. I’m proud of the impact we’ve made through our online presence, and I’ve helped build our reputation with client reviews and feedback.

My colleagues would describe me as loyal, kind, and straightforward, with an eye for detail. Building relationships through honesty and openness is key to my approach. One of the most meaningful parts of my job is my connection with our client Margaret. When I first met her at 96, we had been told she might only have a few weeks or months left, but here we are two years later, and I still bring her flowers and Thornton chocolates. Her face lights up when I walk into her room, and it fills me with happiness. I also bring her a magnet from every place I visit, which she proudly displays on her bed frame. It’s moments like these that make my role so rewarding.

In terms of leadership, I believe in clear communication and being approachable, but always find time to have fun as a team. My calm but direct style helps keep the team motivated and engaged. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with my partner, whether we’re cooking together or relaxing at the cinema.

Daisy Job Title: Care Coordinator and Head of Recruitment Joined: 2019
Daisy

As a Care Coordinator at Cheriton Homecare, I play a key role in managing our carers, recruitment, daily admin, and supporting our team. I’ve been with Cheriton for over four years now, and the most important lesson I’ve learned is to never be afraid to ask for help or guidance. I love being part of a company that’s constantly growing, with an amazing team that’s always supportive.

One of my favourite parts of the job is having conversations with our wonderful clients. Hearing them ask specifically to speak with me is a real highlight of my day. I’m known around the office for being the life of the party—there’s never a dull moment when I’m around! My bubbly enthusiasm helps keep the team motivated, and I’m always pushing them to be their best.

I value honest communication and build relationships by being open and approachable. My leadership style is clear and effective, and I always make sure my team feels supported and engaged. Sometimes, just taking a break or getting a change of scenery helps us solve the toughest problems.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my little boy and my partner. After a busy day at work and home, I unwind with some me-time and a little pampering.

At 24, balancing my career and being a mum keeps me busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Nastasha Job Title: Field Care Supervisor Joined: 2021
Nastasha

As a Field Care Supervisor at Cheriton Homecare, I am responsible for completing forms and risk assessments, building care plans for clients, and delivering personal protection equipment. I also meet new or potential clients to gather the information needed for their profiles and step in as a domiciliary or live-in carer when necessary.

I’ve been working in the care field for 3 years, starting as a care assistant, but I enjoy the social aspect of my current role. The greatest lesson I’ve learned is patience and finding joy in the small things, especially when seeing the positive changes I help make in clients’ lives.

My colleagues would describe me as easy-going and kind, and I believe it’s important to be dependable and trustworthy. I always support those around me, and I’m not afraid to take risks—moving to England was a leap of faith, but it’s been a rewarding experience.

I bring two years of practical training as a live-in carer, which taught me valuable lessons that go beyond classroom learning. I regularly update my training through refresher courses and am always ready to step in when needed.

Outside of work, I enjoy crocheting, painting, and ice skating. Many of my clients take an interest in these hobbies, and it’s a lovely way to connect. In my downtime, I enjoy reading or walking around the park.

I want clients and staff to feel that I’m approachable and eager to help. I’m always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everyone’s needs are met.

Stan Job Title: Software Organiser & Administrator Joined: 2022
Stan

As the Software Organiser and Administrator at Cheriton Homecare, my role varies every day. I focus on problem-solving and ensuring that our software runs smoothly. With almost two years in this role, the most important lesson I’ve learned is to stay organised and keep track of everything I’m working on.

I’m passionate about solving technical issues and enjoy diving into challenges to find solutions. Whether it's fixing a software glitch or co-creating new systems for our clients, I love being able to think on my feet and stay one step ahead.

My colleagues would describe me as charismatic and fun to be around. I value good relationships with my coworkers and always approach problems with an open mind. One of my proudest moments was troubleshooting a major software issue and implementing a temporary fix until we could resolve it fully.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing football and video games, which help me unwind. After a long day, I like to relax with a cup of tea or clear my head by doing something active.

I’d say my approach to my role is a mix of empathy, confidence, and energy. I want clients and colleagues to see me as approachable and receptive—someone who’s always ready to help and find the best solution.

Salma Job Title: Training & Recruitment Coordinator Joined: 2022
Salma

As a Recruiter at Cheriton Homecare, I’m responsible for managing applications, setting recruitment plans, and interviewing candidates. I love making a positive impact by helping people land their dream jobs and enjoy meeting new faces along the way.

Though I’ve been with the company for less than a year, I’ve learned that patience and appreciation are key. I approach every interaction with respect and trust, focusing on listening and giving people space.

One memorable experience was handling a difficult interview where the candidate tried to take control. I stayed calm and patient, ensuring the situation was managed smoothly. Results and achieving targets motivate me, and I take pride in prioritising the team’s needs.

With a CIPD certificate in HR and a Master’s in Globalisation in HR, I stay up to date through my CIPD membership. Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, cooking, and spending time with my children, which helps me stay balanced.

I want people to see me as approachable, patient, and someone who values simplicity. Seeing others happy is what makes my role truly fulfilling.
