Mum has been using this service now for around 7 months and I have tried to limit my own involvement, however when I have been present with any of the care staff I have always found them pleasant and happy to do what they can to assist. When I have needed to contact the office, either the phone is answered straight away, or if I need to leave a message I get a call back. Whoever I speak to always tries to help me the best they can. If Mum has specific appointments, I always send them an email and have never had an issue. I know timings can be an issue, but I accept that sometimes things happen beyond their control, sadly Mum doesn't always understand that.
It is also good to know that you have found communication with the office...
Carers are very good.
Pleasant staff and very efficient at their job.
Good overall service, both by care staff and head office management. One staff member in particular has got to know and understand my aunt's needs and provides excellent care and also helps in reminding me when medication prescriptions are due to be collected.
They would constantly leave a week's worth of medication by the side of their bed. My parent has dementia and does not know what day it was. The carers rarely consulted their task list and frequently asked my parent if they wanted anything to which they replied no I’m fine. The carer would then go. Six minutes was the record from entering the property to leaving again.
I had a constant battle with managers not returning calls and the staff who did answer the phone just laughed when I told them no one returns my calls. All in all, I honestly don’t know how this company is still allowed to trade.
Our records, if carers encouraged the service user the son would call up and complain that his father was being forced to have a wash but at other times, the son used to complain that his father was not being encouraged enough. At one time, the son falsely accused the carers of mistreating the...
Apart from a few carers, most are extremely helpful and caring, level of care 99% of the time is excellent. Office staff are really good with any problems.
Passable with a few exceptions.
Carers are very good. Office staff, unfortunately, let the company down. Lack of understanding of what time-related medication is the main concern, especially when they alter call times. No matter how many times my niece rings the office and gets told it will be sorted, it just has not happened this month. Rotas need or should be done to suit the client not the company.
Sorry, I can't agree with you completely as you have the same carer going five days and times are set, the only exception is if the carer has gone off. Please contact Jennie on jennie@communitycareworker.com if you have any issues. Many thanks for your feedback.
The two main carers are very good, very pleased with how they treat my father. The problems arrive when you send a replacement, standard of care is poor, they don't read Dad's care plan.
Hi L, thank you for your feedback and we will look into it.
Good care and good communication.
Thank you for your kind words. We will pass them on.
Superb understanding of my care needs.
The staff are very good and the care workers are brilliant. I really look forward to seeing them.
Very good, especially one member of staff.
The carers I feel have been my friends. They are very willing and helpful and because they listen to me that means a lot.
They look after me well.
The most passionate care company I have ever come across. I love my carers. Any problem I have I feel I can talk to management. I feel very close to everyone in this company. It's been 4 years I have been with this company. I will recommend this company to everyone. Thank you Community Care Worker.
Thank you for your kind words. We will pass them on.
Very good, could not do without them.
Thank you for such wonderful comments. It is our pleasure to provide help and support to your loved one.
Really pleased with all the care being provided for my mum. Each task is carried out with dignity, professionalism and also friendliness. Highly recommendable.
Some carers do not read their colleague's notes in the patient's file regarding the client's needs.
Incontinent sheets are fitted the wrong way round - plastic sheet facing the client?
Leaving the client unattended in the shower.
Bed making.
Cleaning commode properly.
Asking the clients if they need them to do anything else.
Using their phone instead of attending to the client!
Staff look after me as I can't walk and have other problems. I can still write.
