Chekira’s journey into care began at home, when her mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Supporting her through countless hospital appointments, Chekira witnessed just how much difference kind, dedicated healthcare professionals made to her mother’s experience. That stayed with her, and sparked a calling.
Since then, Chekira has worked in a range of care settings, both in hospitals and out in the community, and studied Adult Nursing. Her experience has shown her the real impact that good care can have - not just physically, but emotionally too. She’s also seen the challenges carers face, and is passionate about making a positive difference from the inside out.
At Handling Care, Chekira leads with empathy and purpose. She believes that care should never take away a person’s independence. Instead, the right support gives people the confidence and freedom to live their lives fully. She takes pride in building meaningful relationships with clients and families, always working to make sure every individual feels listened to, respected, and truly cared for.
Chekira brings warmth, heart, and a deep sense of responsibility to her role. For her, it’s not just about delivering care, it’s about making people feel safe, understood, and valued every step of the way.
As a physiotherapist with years of experience, Rhea takes a holistic and client-centred approach to care. Her philosophy is built on strong, trusting relationships with clients, empowering them to take an active role in their care while she uses her clinical knowledge to develop thoughtful, personalised support plans. Rhea pays close attention to detail, ensuring every element of care aligns with each person’s needs, preferences, and overall well-being. Her mission is not only to provide support, but to enhance the quality of life for every individual she works with.
Outside of work, Rhea enjoys cooking (something her clients often praise!), dancing, travelling, painting, and watching films. She cherishes time spent with her fiancé, and their kitten, Hennessy. When she has a spare moment, she’s often on the hunt for one-of-a-kind treasures from independent stores online.
The way she connects with people. Rhea goes above and beyond to ensure that clients and colleagues feel seen, supported, and genuinely valued.
