After mum had a fall we needed carers to attend twice a day from January 2025 to August 2025.

The service provided was 1st class, communication was excellent directly with the carers and any issues were quickly identified and communicated.

They kept a log for every visit and ensured, despite my

mum being quite difficult at times, that the house, her clothes were clean and she was fed each visit.

All the staff had great communication skills with 0 language barriers, the carers ranged in age from 30+ upwards

I have no hesitation in recommending to friends

Never once let us down in 6 months, 2 visits a day 7 days a week.

We moved mum into a care home after her situation changed

Reply from Louise Badham, Manager at Bury Home Care

Thank you for your amazing review. It has been a pleasure looking after mum. One of the staff members went to see mum in the care home last week and said appears to have settled in nicely, and was very happy to see her. All the best for the future.

I would just like to praise all the carers from Bury Home Care who currently help to look after my mum. My mum looks forward to all of them coming to care for her. They are all friendly, attentive and compassionate, which enables peace of mind to me and my family that my mum is being treated with kindness
and respect. I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone who needs help in caring for a loved one. Thank you.

From start to finish, the care was excellent. All aspects were carried out in a friendly and very professional manner. The initial assessment through to the actual hands on care were very well thought out and carefully executed, with both compassion and a intimate touch, as needed.

Bury Homecare has been a great support for my mum over the last few months. She lives independently at home but we wanted someone to go in and start her off and set her up for the rest of the day. We wanted a small team of carers so that she would have care if someone was off but also there is always
a familiar face.
When I have spoken to the carers they are very professional, upbeat and friendly. They really take pride in their work and treat my mum with dignity and kindness. It is also really useful to have a daily log of what has been done. I also like the efficient communication eg when we have asked for specific checks like her lunch being ready, etc. it is reassuring to have this adaptability which makes her care bespoke to what she needs. I trust Bury Homecare and would happily recommend them to others. Thank you.

From the moment we started using Bury Home Care we have had excellent service - at first it was ad-hoc care but increased as Dads care needs increased, until the moment he took his last breath 9 years later. The team lead by the manager have been exemplary. Dad was wrapped in care and love by the whole
team. Having them care for Dad meant that we could take a break and eventually a holiday. I cannot recommend them enough and anyone I have recommended them to, feels the same

Julie, it was truly a pleasure and an honour to be able to support your dad. He was the loveliest, most cheerful chappy who never said he was 'okay'... because he was 'wonderful' - and we're inclined to agree. Thank you for trusting us with your lovely dad, he will truly be missed.

Our wonderful dad passed peacefully at home in February 2025, thanks to the fantastic support my dad and myself and my brothers and sisters received from the manager and all the team at Bury Home Care. They were recommended to use by a friend with an elderly father who also did not want to go into
a home. The team started supporting dad with daily welfare visits several years before his health deteriorated to the point where he needed them for all his personal care. That meant he got to know all the "girls" as he called them really well and the journey to four visits a day became a seamless and stress free one. With the team's support in place myself and my siblings were able to focus on spending quality time with dad and not worrying about him when we were not there. Towards the end when dad moved to downstairs living, Louise took the lead in showing us how to access the additional funding needed for dad to stay at home right until his passing. We can never thank all the team enough.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.800) out of 10 for Bury Home Care is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Bury Home Care is calculated as follows: ( (48 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Bury Home Care is based on 8 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.8
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
