Sunbird Care

Sunbird helps me stay independent at the age of 93, and live in my own home which I have lived in for 65 years. I would recommend Sunbird to support people in their own home as they make sure I am safe and well cared for.

Sunbird Care provide excellent care for my 93 year old Mother, which enables her to stay in her home of 66 years. My family and I find the Company very approachable and flexible which my Mother benefits from

Dad was looked after by Sunbird carers for a few years until he could no longer stay in his own home. They treated him with respect and kindness, often going out of their way to make sure he was safe and comfortable. Communication with the carers and the manager was excellent too. I am very grateful for their efforts, thanks to them he stayed in his own home until he was 91.

The care provided by the staff at Sunbird Care was excellent, professional but friendly and caring, and also approachable outside of their hours to discuss any concerns over my late mother. They have been invaluable, and I cannot thank them enough for the care they gave Mum.

This review relates to service provided for me during half-hour sessions in the evening Mon-Sun and morning sessions of one and quarter hours on Sat and Sunday. All activities are associated with my direct personal needs.

I have used Sunbird Care for my 93-year-old mother for the last 2/3 years. I have found Sunbird to be a very professionally run business. Excellent care and communication at all times ranging from visiting carers and management staff in the office. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sunbird Care to anyone that require their services. I have not got a bad word to say about Sunbird's care. My mother, who has had dementia for two years, which has made her general health deteriorate, but all issues have been addressed and followed through by carers and management. I have found Sunbird care excellent care and support for my mother, and have kept me well informed of any issues that need to tackle. Sunbird Care gave me the confidence to ring them with any issues that I may have and know that they would be dealt with in a professional manner, which I did on many occasions. To sum up, an excellent and well-organised company providing an excellent standard of care, understanding and family support.

We were very fortunate to find Sunbird. From the start, the team were both professional and thoughtful taking into account how vulnerable my mum was. They worked with all of us closely and provided a really high standard of assessment and care. They were punctual, and communication was excellent. Definitely willing to go the extra mile. Mum was very anxious initially, but not for long. She loved the visits and the company, felt safe, cared for and valued.

Sunbird managed all medicine very well and also contacted GP directly when required.

My father passed away after a very long battle with cancer three days ago. The carers treated him with the most incredible respect and care that my family could ever have imagined. This company allowed him to die with the dignity he deserved and as a final conscious act, he himself tried to articulate this to them. We will forever be thankful. Thank you Sunbird Care.

At very short notice, I required carers for both morning and evening care for my wife, who suffers from Alzheimer's. Sunbird organised this care package which involved four different carers, all of which were very professional, helpful and pleasant. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sunbird Care to provide care for my wife or loves ones again.

The care and kindness shown to both my husband and myself have been exceptional. It has transformed our everyday lives. The interest in my husband's care condition shown by the carers is very encouraging and reassuring. My husband likes to see the carers every day and have their attention. Sunbird is very caring to my Mother and is responsive to her changing needs.

My mum had to stay with us for a few days at short notice and suffers from Parkinsons and osteoarthritis. She has difficulty with her mobility and personal care. Following a recommendation, I contacted Sunbird Care to help us manage my mum during the daytime whilst my wife and I were at work. Sunbird could not have been more accommodating; they were able to quickly meet with my mum, perform their assessment and devise a thorough care plan. They were also able to designate a care worker to come to our house. The care worker was professional, sympathetic to my mum's needs and provided exactly the care we were looking for. We are so happy that we were able to work with Sunbird, and we will be using them again the next time my mum comes to stay with us.

I am very pleased with the service provided by the young lady who visits, she is extremely pleasant and a joy to have her company.
