Over the past year the service has improved, and is now generally good, with, I understand, a new manager. There are some very nice carers, and some others, especially men, who seem unsuited to the role. Training may have been lacking with some poor hygiene practices, not completing all the listed tasks, and sadly, some minor theft, which was perhaps just one carer. The important thing is that the management take these things seriously, and I believe that they do ok to trust them, but family should monitor the situation for vulnerable clients and report problems to management.

Holistic Care 4U (Cumbria) have cared for my elderly parents for 10 months now, starting with 3 visits a day and progressing to 24hour live-in care as needs have changed. They are a team of patient and kind carers who genuinely care about my parents wellbeing. I live over 300 miles away so to know they are there has helped me enormously. I can read daily reports and we also have a social media group so we can share concerns and info at short notice. My parents both have dementia and mobility issues which the carers are patient with and capable of the moving and handling skills needed. When I visit, my Mum always looks lovely, her hair nicely done and her clothes smart, all of which is dependent on the carers. The house is kept clean, the laundry done, good food prepared daily, and I am sent a shopping list weekly so I can order a supermarket delivery. I cannot fault them.

My mother is being looked after by the Thirsk branch. I have a lot of contact with the team leader. She is excellent. She listens to my requests and concerns over my mothers health and care, and acts on them immediately with professionalism and kindness. So my score is based on her support as I have not met many carers in her team. Having said that, of the carers I have met, I can confirm that they are very kind and good at their job. They have on occasion picked up on health issues and reported back which is a great help.

Holistic Care 4u have been fantastic with my mum. All the carers have been patient and caring and my mum looks forward to their visits. They always keep us informed if there are any concerns about my mum. They do all the practical stuff my mum needs but with kindness and compassion too.

Holistic Care 4U looked after Mum during most of 2024. They are a fantastic team of dedicated people that worked with us to enable Mum to stay in her own home for as long as possible. Holistic Care 4U looked after Mum during most of 2024. They are a fantastic team of dedicated people that worked with us to enable Mum to stay in her own home for as long as possible. They always treated Mum with respect, a great deal of kindness and took good care of her needs. She always looked forward to their visits. The Manager and the office staff were also extremely helpful and made any changes easier to deal with. Following an accident Mum has now moved into a care home and we wish we could send the Manager and his team into the home with her. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Holistic Care 4U team again to take care of a loved one at home and would certainly use their services in the future should the need arise.
